but yeah, the Liara and Horizon reunion scenes were emotional rollercoasters. I remember that sinking feeling I got after both of them when I realized what had happened...

That's almost the same as my emotions during the reunion. Just the beginning is different which was like
Look there's my Liara *party-time* - a kiss *love* - *life is good* - and then the WTF moments as our conversions progressed - you know the rest :-)

Chapter 10 is rough, as a warning. Real rough. I recall a quote by Voltaire, which I paraphrase, as "Love your enemies, hate your friends". Sometimes you have to hate your readers enough to want to poke them and make them feel. I guess that is my try at that. Its not fluffy AT all, so be aware.

And therein lies the hooey. Casey in that interview saying the ME1 characters being kept from squadmate status in ME2 is because they "can not be killed". hahahahahahahaha This is a video game. It's foundation is software programming. So does Casey want us to believe that noooooooo one in the Bioware programming department has the ability to make sure a ME1 character "that can't be killed in ME2" isn't killed? Really? Is he serious? Argh, frustration...
Right...so it seems like they almost wanted the ME2 crew to all potentially die for some reason. None of them had to be coded to die either...the suicide mission could have been a complete success no matter what.
It's odd

Well everybody, finished another few chapters of my Liara/Shepard ME 1 fic. For this of you who do not know, part of it is ultimately winding to the ME 2 days to help explain the dynamic between these two people and possibly how Liara has become "darker". We never really get a good explanation for Liara's vengeful anger...I think my spin on it...while rough is ultimately clearer.

Ooooh, I can't wait to read it. I love your work as it is a bit angstier. Fluff has it's time and place but too much is too much.

Well, you need a few to live to pull Shepard up from the brink. Miranda is "harder" to get rid off as are a few other members. Mordin and the "squishier" types like Tali can die easily if you do dumb moves. Honestly it is so easy to save EVERYONE though if you have reading comprehension skills that the argument made that "well they can all die so they won't be important in ME 3" doesn't hold water. Bioware gives you PLENTY of warning/chances/hints on how to save your entire crew, even going so far as to tell you in many cases.

Last Mission: Man, sure hope we have a strong BIOTIC for this. Anyone know a STRONG biotic? or a TECH expert? Tech expert over here? Someone with COMMAND experience, like Miranda? Hello? Anyone?

This is true though. Asari are asexual as they do not reproduce by mixing genetic materials. Of course that doesn't mean they cant "enjoy" any physical interaction during the course of, well, um, course of, ya!GamerFSS86 wrote...

Nothing against Casey, as the game series so far is very good despite its flaws. But have you seen the dudes personal page? He poses like an actor and gives that smoldering look of "come hither". Video game developers sure have changed as in the past, no one would be able to pull that picture off, lol.

if casey did say that about the me1 people not being recruitable so they can believe for the 3rd game what does that say about the 2nd game people that they don't count as they can all die at one point in the game does that mean they are not coming back because they don't know who lived and who did not
him saying that does not make sense
If they survived, they'll come back in some way. They could have a cameo just like Ashley/Kaidan/Liara/Wrex did. They might be squad mates, but not have much to say and will definitely not be plot critical as they could be dead.
The three ME1 LIs hopefully will be squad mates and will have a more important role in the main ME3 plot.

I found in ridiculously easy to have everyone survive, even on my first suicide mission. Still, some people have squad members die
I actually thought it was more of a challenge to try to get certain people killed and have others survive. That's were the fun is at.

The whole argument would be invalid anyway, if they hadn't implemented that stupid idea of a suicide mission. I've yet so see most of the cutscenes portraying my companions' deaths. Why would I even want to see that? What's the point? I don't really care about any of them, but it's almost impossible to fail any of their loyalty quests, or to miss the important ship upgrades. Why would I deliberately ignore these things? To watch the characters die? I did that once, for two characters (the most and the least popular
No, this whole concept was very wrong from the beginning. They wasted time on cutscenes that many people will not see and do not want to see. And it "forced" them (if you believe it) to sideline the important (if you believe it) characters, which was the worst thing of all. Now they have to reintroduce the ME 1 characters (if you believe it), plus you have a bunch of new characters which many people demand to be in the next game as well.

This. I got the "No one left behind" achievement and wondered how I got it first try. The fact that some people question when someone dies leaves me a bit scared. How can you mess it up?
