I've made this joke before but I'm sure Liara appreciates that Cerberus didn't go with the Miranda's Ass Prototype when rebuilding Shep!!  :P

Thanks, it's one of the Jade Empire ones.  Should get my own with my PC DAO.  I'll look that up one day. :)

GamerFSS86 wrote..[EDIT]

Please remain Positive about the Liara DLC and Mass Effect for now ok

Lots of things to like about ME 1 & 2, Liara being at the top of the list.  It's just so frustrating to see Cerberus... ah, I mean Bioware, get indoctrinated by the rEApers.  <_<

This page needs more Liara pic goodness. Credit to Raanz

Hey guys, does anyone know where this pic was taken from?
It looks like an elevator or something.

Hmm...what's she staring at?

She is checking Shepard out...purely research of course...making sure Cerberus put everything in the right places, you know. :innocent:

She needs to conduct a more in depth investigation of Shepard, I think.

With her scientific mind, she has got to have spent some time researching human anatomy ... you know, for when Shep returns and she can do a more indepth study.  ;)

Howd they get her to touch her head like that?

I can see Shepard smiling and giggling at Liara, as she is lost in thought, staring at Shepard's body. Who then tells her. "Liara dear...I'm up here..." Then points upward, winking at her with a grin, after they make eye contact.

It's one of her idle anims that play while in elevators.

Right...so it seems like they almost wanted the ME2 crew to all potentially die for some reason.  None of them had to be coded to die either...the suicide mission could have been a complete success no matter what.

It's odd

I don't have a problem with this aspect of the game.  Investing the gamer in working to keep squadmates alive, especially the ones you love, is fine.

I do have a problem with the way they shoved Liara and Ash/Kaiden to the sidelines and then made that lame excuse about why they did it.  If they are such an important part of the trilogy shouldn't their ME2 stories have been important enough to matter in ME2, really matter, not just the token "oh, here they are, now go away."?

The whole argument would be invalid anyway, if they hadn't implemented that stupid idea of a suicide mission. I've yet so see most of the cutscenes portraying my companions' deaths. Why would I even want to see that? What's the point? I don't really care about any of them, but it's almost impossible to fail any of their loyalty quests, or to miss the important ship upgrades. Why would I deliberately ignore these things? To watch the characters die? I did that once, for two characters (the most and the least popular ), just out of curiosity. But it feld bad enough. And why, of all things, would I even want to see my Shepard die?

No, this whole concept was very wrong from the beginning. They wasted time on cutscenes that many people will not see and do not want to see. And it "forced" them (if you believe it) to sideline the important (if you believe it) characters, which was the worst thing of all. Now they have to reintroduce the ME 1 characters (if you believe it), plus you have a bunch of new characters which many people demand to be in the next game as well.

You're right.  I've yet to lose anyone of the final mission.   While ME2 is mostly a fun game, I've never felt the same about the suicide mission like I feel about the Ilos to the Citadel fight, that never gets old.

The game virtually takes your hand and tells you who to choose. On the selection screen, the best character has the longest description. It doesn't get more obvious. That's another reason why the concept of the suicide mission was wrong: Game developers and especially publishers like EA want happy customers, they don't dare to challenge the players, and they don't trust them to think much (often with reason it seems). So it was always clear that the mission would have to be created in a way that makes it hard to fail, rendering the concept useless from the beginning.

Oops.  They missed one.

Shouldn't all our smilies be blue for this thread?  Just sayin'.
