Eh, Bethesda games were never about characters really. Its all about the journey.
Charon wasn't bad, though sometimes he'd get lost and die miles from where I left him.
Well in general when it comes to Fallout I think I prefer the two old games, also I have an eye on New Vegas
Also I think the main issue I have with followers in all Bethesda games i played they tend to run into my line of fire and die because of that

Like any human medium that involves entertainment, it would inevitably turn towards the sexual. Oblivion had dozens of nude/sex/hentai mods that were suprisingly detailed. Just imagine such in the ME world. There would be nothing sacred left...
So what? The good thing about it is that everyone can decide what they want to install and see in their game, and what not. I have not seen a media campaign against any Bethesda game because of these possibilities. There was some controversy about the drugs in the vanilla game, so they were renamed. So mods were created that corrected the "mistake". Players who want the content can have it, but no one can blame Bethesda. Win-win.
Never said it was a bad thing. A lot of earlier Bioware games were modded eventually, even without good developer tools. BG II had a Imoen romance mod, which someone spent A HELL OF A LOT of time doing. Considering sleeping with her is incest, that is pretty wild stuff.

Well in Fawkes' case there is no need to fire, he does all the shooting for youDr.LiaraTsoni wrote...
Yeah, im somewhat glad Mass Effect doesn't have the construction set like TES series. Much of the user created content would ruin aspects of the game that make it as great as it is.

I have to say some of the BG2 character mods are quite well done, although some of the ones that introduce new characters sometimes have tendency to imbalance it a bit

Again, no one forces you to install anything. You decide. It's virtually tons of free DLC. How can anyone not like this? It would of course be much harder for BioWare/EA to charge 7 bucks for one hour of content, if there was so much free content.

Actually that makes sense. I had always thought how Liara would be integrated into the game, but then again it would seemingly be easier to have her be a temporary squad mate than try to make a whole new "escort" system. I imagine for ME 3, if there are going to be big big battles, they will eventually do something like what they did for the DA final battle with multiple armies to summon.
Well the easiest way is to make something up like she brings along her thugs for the attack and assaults the SBs base from a different direction, this way you dont see anything and just hear com chatter kind of like the fire team leader during the suicide mission, until you get the final scene with the SB
On a sidenote I still wonder if the SB will just get gunned down or survive till ME3
I always thought he/she/it could be a compelling character, but fact is BIoware has too many damn characters with the ME 2 squadmates and what not. I am assuming he gets blown up in a dramatic fashion.
Liara with thugs? Lmao. I can imagine she has tattoos now of teardrops on her face, one for each kill. Maybe even a tat across her back saying "Death before Dishonor - La Vida Loca".
The Shadow Broker could have easily filled The Illusive Man's role in ME2 and it would have made a whole lot more sense/connection to the first game, but then BioWare didn't wan't to confuse the people who didn't bother their asses to play ME. <_<

what if shepeard gets some reaper intel which sends him off on a mission knowing who sent him it and it was a set up to kill liara by the sb then you can team up and go after him it would also get her back on the ship

I hope we get some intel on the Reapers coming out of a DLC or expansion. We still don't know that much about them after ME2. There isn't even a hint of how Shepard could ultimately stop them.
Random thought: If we get to battle the SB, I'm totally using Cain against it/him/her. I want to keep the battle short and sweet so Liara and Shepard can move on to some loving

Easiest way is to have a second browser open with the post where all of the icons are shown, and then just right click copy then paste into your current post!justinnstuff wrote...

Sunnie, thank you so much for those blue emoticons. I love them!
I just need to figure out how to link them.
Just do standard [img*][/img*] tags like you would for a BBG pic.

Already planned on it. I even got all the heavy weapon upgrades from a paragon playthrough (6/6 heavy weapons from Zaeed mission) and the 10% more heavy weapons ammo pack. I can use it twice if needed.

The hardest way would be to write a Greasemonkey script that swaps the smilie set.

I am a HUGE supported of player generated content. Why?
There two very simple reasons really (there are more but two really big ones).
The biggest reason is that it increases a games life span on average of 600%, and some as much as 3000% (like Morrowind, its still being modded and played by quite a few, or any of the old school Unreal shooters still being played). The Oblivion community is still going strong, and Fall Out 3 is still very popular. Even though Fall Out 3 released a contruction set somewhat early on, it had no trouble making a profit on the major DLC add-ons they produced. Hell I bought them all, and I did a lot of modding on it.
Next is the ability for players to fill in all the shadows, plot holes, gaps, and fix bad story writing themselves. The most respect any developer can have for their customers is giving them the ability to fill in the blanks that inevitably happen in every story or game. Lets face it folks, had there been a construction set for ME2, none of us would be complaining about how crappy the whole Liara cameo is in ME2. We, the players, would have fixed this ourselves. We also would be enhancing/fixing the love stories in the game to be more what we expected, and its quite clear at this point that only a handful of people are satisfied with what we actually got.
So those are my two biggest and best reasons to support player content, and I hope BioWare plans on releasing a CS sometime in the future, they have to know that doing so will effectively keep the franchise alive for many years beyond expected.

scmadsen, you skim over my posts? No wonder you're such a pessimist! I'll be back tomorrow guys, I've missed Liara so much! I love my BBG!
Some of them! Only some...the ones in which you fart sunshine, rainbows, and happy things...the happy, it burns us...anyway...you gotta laugh at yourself, you can get carried away from time to time...as can I...just remember, not all my posts are pessimistic. I used to post, and still do when the mood strikes, post overly optimistic things.

ME1 Liara would. ME2 Liara, I still don't know what's going on. At least we got a tweet on the upcoming DLC, maybe we might get some more insight into her huge change in character in that. I doubt we'll see LI content, but something that can explain this better than the comics would be nice.

I would exchange Liara romance content in DLC for a chance to have her character development explained. I would hope any Liara DLC would at least do that. If they want to save the lovey-dovey stuff until ME3, that's fine. Liara might need some time to herself in order to heal after the whole SB ordeal. Shepard might have to be a bit patient with her as far as romance goes.

Well, remember the comic is pre ME2, they really couldn't explain anything in it, it was really more a way to make money and try and keep the franchise in the limelight. Theres really nothing new to learn from the comics other than the name of the Drell (I refuse to name him) that was part of this story.justinnstuff wrote...
