I love how if you didnt have a romance in ME2 but you had a romance plot with Liara in the first ME, before the suicide mission Shepard goes over to his desk and picks up a picture of Liara and smiles and a team comes out of his/her eye. Very touching.
A pity it seems like a cheap insert to me.
Nice to see BioWare stealing my ideas for the scene for their Kasumi DLC. <_<

Not really cheap insert, to me it shows that its not like Shepard completely forgot about her, he still remembers her.

Since Shepard has been rebuilt and has had some "upgrades", Shepard can most likely expect to have a much longer natural life span! /uploads_user/1070000/1069890/27986.gif

I think so too. In fact, I'd expect Shepard to be able to live as long as Liara will.

Unless Bioware goes with the run of the mill heroic sacrifyce for an ending, with Shepard dying to end the reapers,or they cook something up like Shepards implants are failing.....for some reason, just to amp up on the whole "darkness" thing,I guess Shepard should be able to go over the normal human lifespan, though I doubt s/he will life for a thousand years like asari, also take into account they might want Shepard out of the picture for a potential ME4 or something like that.

It feels empty...on my current ME1 I'm recreuiting her after Virmire to see her hallucination dialogue for myself. But it just feels so empty and weird without her, and "Liara's Dig Site" is oh, so tempting...Dr.LiaraTsoni wrote...

Well, implants can be replaced, new tissues can be grown and implanted...I mean Shepard was dead, and now is alive again...just fix what goes bad as it fails. There will reach a point where the nervous system and brain will go...I'm not so sure that can be fixed as easily...I don't think the ME world is that advanced yet...not even the Geth, maybe the Reapers...but I wouldn't trust using their tech for anything. Although, they could clone the brain and nervous system and then have an Asari transfer "Shepard" to the new one, once it's implanted. Could live forever like that. But would you still be the same person then? That's as big a metaphysical question as is, is Shepard still Shepard now?
It seems clear to me, that they used alot of nanotechnology to rebuild Shepard, and when you work at that level, you can have millions of little bots running around inside you all the time, fixing cells as they break down and keeping them alive.

I've thought about that since the release of ME2. I wonder what Shep's new lifespan is now.

I can see Liara getting ruthless on occasion to try and save Shepard as she does in the comics; but having her threaten to flay someone alive simply because he didn't pay his bill as they did in ME2 isn't ruthlessness for a greater good or highly personal cause, its just straight up thuggery and even if the events of the comics did harden her its still completely out of character and a real slap to the face of anyone who liked her character. I still can't fathom what the **** Bioware was thinking.
