Lol, I have never even played ME without romancing Liara.

Over the last two years I probably played ME1 a dozen times or more.  Once I romanced Ash, once I romanced Kaidan, once I stayed single.

Every other time I romanced Liara. :P

Heh, I did seventeen playthroughs (and lost fifteen of them them all thanks to the red ring of death! :pinched: I did two more on my new Xbox) and told Kaidan to go screw himself everytime (well, I play as paragon 99% of the time so I said it nicely).
Lovely Liara Forever! :wub::wub:

That picture makes her look tough and sexy at the same time.
I will wait as patiently as possible. Although, it is near impossible to be patient when waiting for Liara!

It seems a lot longer than a month since #2 was released.

I hope so too.  Hopefully the third issue will put fears to rest about the Feron/Liara thing (or confirm them ).

J, that's unlike you to be worried and pessimistic. Be positive!

Feron's come across as a bit of a lovable goof so far, and there's been no subtext with Liara either. Stop bloody panicking, people!

Goddamn... That would traumatize me if Liara and Feron and a thing going on :sick::sick:.
I don't want to believe that any company would be evil enough to commit such an atrocity.
Liara is only for Shepard thank-you-very-much BioWare.

On a more positive note, I've just received a message on my eBay account from the company I'm buying Redemption issue 3 from. They've told me that it's expected to be delivered to their depot in Colchester, England this week, and it'll definitely ship to me by the end of this week. So, I've only got to wait for a few days after release. Yay!

Yeah, Liara doesn't seem to care one way or another if he is there, she is too concerned with getting Shepard back.
It feels as though he is the goofy ****** in a buddy cop movie. (He will NEVER get the girl, namely Liara, no matter how much he tries).
Feron probably sacrificed himself to save Liara and Shepard and that is why she feels so guilty about him being captured (hopefully dead).
Should probably stop talking about Liara and Feron having a fling, it completely disturbs me...:sick::sick:

Really?  I thought I was one of the most pessimistic people around.

Well, if nothing happens with Feron in this upcoming issue I think it's safe to say nothing is going to happen between them.    If they were to shove it in to the last issue with everything else going on, that would be pretty poor writing, IMO.

Personally, I don't care but I'm afraid of Liara losing more of her fanbase (the ones that are still iffy about her b/c of ME2...having a fling with Feron would probably push them over the edge and into the arms of another).

I doubt they'll have a Liara/Feron fling, theres already enough unresolved stuff between Liara and Shepard without that.

I think you guys are still giving this particular group of writers too much credit. :P

Seriously though, after seeing all the stuff with Liara and Legion that was cut I don't think so either.  This drell is just a random character they came up with last minute before getting the story rolling.  If he had been a part of the original concept and developed from the start it would have been a much larger possibility, as is though he is more of a throw away character.

Yeah, they've already done pretty grevious harm to the ME1 LI fanbases, I'd hate to see them do more to it.  It's a real shame that all these new players coming into the series with ME2 had no proper introduction to these great characters.  I think it'll cause more harm than good if come ME3 they start announcing Liara as a squad mate and all these folks start whining about why this random crazy asari chick is going to be a squad mate instead of someone "cool" like Aria or Reegar.

I don't know if by the time two more years pass that the ME1 LI fanbases will be large enough to make any noise about it, not that it would really matter in the end I guess.  I doubt BW would listen to them anymore than they do to us. /shrug

Do we know about how many ME2 fans are 'new fans' and didn't touch ME1? I haven't stumbled upon an estimate of this number anywhere and I'm wondering if anyone else knows.

I would assume the majority of ME2 purchasers also played the first game.

I am really skeptical about "shocking surprises". Outside of "the shadow broker is really SATAN" or the notorious Feron-affair, I am really racking my brain to see what could be so mind blowing that it would completely change the plot of ME 2 and 3. Considering most people will never read the comics, I think the story change will be minimal and will primarily effect Liara.

Maybe its something that sheds more light on dark energy? But it seems too early to mention that...

With that said, I am sure on the third someone will update the Mass Effect wiki entry for Redemption anyway, so we will know soon.

I agree that any big surprises will primarily effect Liara and not the ME universe as a whole.  I do hope there's something more substantial happening with the SB that would further justify Liara's obsessive vengence.  Perhaps Liara believes that the SB's involvement with the Collectors/Reapers runs deeper than simply just trying to make a few extra creds selling Shepard's body to them.  It's possible she's trying to find evidence of this.

Yeah Feron really sucks. I doubt Liara would go for him anyway; Shepard is the only woman/man for her :P

Now that would at least be pretty funny. "Yeah, it's really me, and after centuries of seducing people to abandon god to burn in hell i just what the hell, let's do something different and became an information broker for a while".

There are really no indications that the Shadow Broker is anything but a businessman, and likely a huge ass, but beyond that it wouldn't make too much sense for him to be a Reaper plant as its hard to make cold hard cash when sentient life is destroyed.

Still, on the flip side, the Shadow Broker only gives information that wouldn't advantage one party too highly over the other. Perhaps it is a way to keep the races balanced and easier to conquer? I can see both ways being possible, but I also see a chance to work with the Shadow Broker as a renegade option. Remember, in ME 1 if you DON'T give the data to the Shadow Broker from a mission, it is clear that any help he may have offered will not be nearly as forthcoming...

If you DID give the data, perhaps there is something the Broker can provide...
