That's the font they use for the Navi-to-English subtitles in Avatar. I wish they hadn't used that font in the movie.

Seriously though, that picture of Liara is utter perfection. The lighting, her facial expression. She looks absolutely stunning there.

(paraphrasing) With an almost fiery fury, Liara bolts up from her desk, "How could you kn-- You weren't there, you ..." I can't remember where in the dialogue Liara says this and it could be nothing. Then again it could speak volumes. Yes, Liara is mad at the SB, mad at herself, but I think there is someone else she is mad at, but doesn't want to admit it.  She's mad at Shepard for leaving her.  No, it doesn't make any logical sense, but love is rarely logical.

Again, im kinda hoping the Liara DLC doesn't come out. By the sound recordings she said it will take her years to go through all the data, and that basically means she wont be in ME3 (unless Shepard dies again or something <_<)
I would much rather wait for everything to be settled in ME3, it sounds to me like the DLC would be short. I would want them to actually put detail into it.

So this!!! I got that very impression even on my first playthrough where I found the secret dialogue just by chance.
The intensity and passion in her voice is just too much for it to simply not be the case.

I've always interpreted that as Liara being frustrated at herself. She knows that, due to her fear that Shepard will hate her and thus not revealing everything that's happened, she appears vague and confusing to Shepard. She knows that Shepard, the person she loves, is probably thinking that she appears way too puzzling and distant.

And yet, due to the aforementioned fear, she can't bring herself to reveal everything that's happened. So when an ignorant Shepard dismisses what she's saying, ridicules and trivialises everything that's happened to her and what she's done, she gets angry and frustrated with herself because she knows it's because of her own actions that Shepard is reacting in this way.

The fact that Liara backs down from her anger again almost instantaneously speaks volumes. She can't bring herself to show anger to the person she loves, particularly as she knows it's her own fault that Shepard is acting this way. She wishes that she could tell Shep just what happens to clarify what's going on, but she can't out of fear Shep will hate her.

Oh, and I've never read them, but I heard from a lot of people that her claiming Feron was her friend was inconsistent with the actual comics? That they really didn't give the impression Feron and her were friends at all?

She says she wants to kill him, but she isnt really serious.

They arent BFF or anything, but it clearly means a lot to her that ultimately the help Feron offers to save what little is left of Shepard was vital. It also affects her that he gets left to the mercy of the weird looking salarian thug and the shadow broker while she escapes with Shepards remains.

The only problem is, because of the nature of the **** cameo, shes almost taking a "one thing at a time approach". Its like "Sorry Shepard, I saved you, but now I have just got to continue this single minded crusade against the SB before we can actually display any kind of relationship again".

Thats why the hypothetical DLC is so important to some folks. They hope it will actually show "wait a minute, Liara CAN actually display her affection for Shepard AND care about saving Feron and stopping the SB. The two arent mutually exclusive. If anything the two should go hand in hand".

Sadly, like I said, making up an excuse to remove her was paramount. Not actually doing whats best for her character and the fans desire to see her in Mass Effect games.

Where did Liara get it in her head that only her own stuff was important, though? That's not like Liara. It's like over the course of those comics she was honed down to single-mindedness...

Yeah, that dialogue has been pretty much scrapped though. It's rubbish, and I doubt it will ever see the light of day, like alot of the Kasumi dialogue that was found in the game's files.

It seems that the original intention was that Shep and Liara would team up, take down the SB, Liara would acquire his data and then temporarily continue on as an info broker in order to go through the SB's data in order to find any information about the Collectors to help Shepard in the upcoming battles. That was their original intention and reason why Liara couldn't join the squad, she stayed back to try to find ways to help you out.

Of course, they realises this was utter crap and scrapped it for a reason. If Liara needs to sort through data, why not do it on the Normandy with the aid of an extremely powerful AI? Furthermore, why would she continue on in the role of an information broker, a job she quite clearly hates? Garbage dialogue is garbage.

The font is called Papyrus... but I'm not happy with it.  If anyone has a suggestion for something better, I'd be happy to make a new pic.

Has there ever been any consensus on Liara's eyebrows? I just did a quick paint job on her and she definitely looks different without them--great still, but different. Is this her maiden year tattoo thing?

Benezia has them too, so does this mark the Matriarch line/lineage somehow?

She got it in her head when Biowares ME2 writers put it there so as to remove her from the game.

No offence, but I told you this already before release, and you mocked me and called me "grinch". I knew we were going to get a crappy excuse, and thats exactly what we got. The comic is nothing more than a moneymaking extension of that excuse.

Theyll probably use the same "singe mindedness" to excuse the ME2 squad from ME3, being that a large portion will be dead in many peoples saves, and therefore not viable squadmate choices.

Not that I know of.

I do like the theory though that, prior to Liara's birth, Benezia may have given herself eyebrows for cosmetic reasons, and liked how they looked. When Liara was born, she probably followed suit with her daughter and gave them to Liara as an infant, or Liara may have given herself eyebrows as an adolescent as she shared Benezia's view that they looked good, and liked them. Coincidentally, humans make first contact and it resembles what they have on their faces.

I'm probably over-analysing though, and the reason Liara has eyebrows is to make her appear more human as an LI, and gives her a very distinctive look compared to other asari. Likewise with her adorable, cute freckles.

When, oh when  are you going to let the Grinch poem go? I said I was sorry already! I'm sorry I called you a Grinch!

And anyway, I made jokes about you, not because I thought you were wrong about what they'd do with the characters, but because I didn't agree with you that it would ruin the whole game and make it unplayable.

That's all. I see my comments have not been forgotten...

ME3 ending with showing Shepard and Liara together, watching their little asari daughter playing in the sun, with Shep and Liara then turning to each other, staring deeply into each other's eyes, before embracing each other warmly. /sigh ^_^
