As long as it isn't a " choose your own adventure" style choice ending where you have to save Liara/Tali/Kaidan, or save an entire species from  destruction kinda choice. Which i could see BW doing ala Fable II....

Not necessarily.

We could have two romance paths. A Liara romance for those who are starting it in ME3, and one for all of us who have loved Liara since all the way back in ME1.

I really don't think they'll go with a uniform Liara romance in ME3.

Ala...Tali and Garrus.

I always said that IF she's an LI, then it will be available for everyone, and the "cheating" thing won't mean anything. Still, IF she's an LI, I would be happy enough. I won't hold my breath for anything as far as BioWare/EA is concerned though.

That interview only reaffirms that view. Pure PR spin. Bah. <_<

I'll just be happy if Liara is back and in the squad and I can romance her. I don't expect a 'continuation' but a new start to the romance. That's better than nothing.

the decision string will be carried over so our Liara will still be our Liara
and that is a light in the tunnel , also don't forget Liara DLC, gotta stay optimistic:)

and it was said that Liara-faithful will get much more than those betraying bastards so i see points here to stay optimistic

Well, honestly, if they don't give veteran players the chance to "continue" their romances, they are doing their customers a HUGE disservice and I would view it as taking the easy/lazy way out. I don't care if it takes them 5 years to finish the 3rd game, I don't want another hack job story pasted into a shooter game.

I expect a continuation, not a reset and try again.

They dropped the ball on ME2 not because of the changes they made but because of the high level of expectation that their customers had after playing Mass Effect. A reset would be so angering that I would send it back to them and demand a refund. Hudson is really starting to sink on my "who I like in the industry" Totem Pole, EA check writers have a lot more influence than people think.
