Like I said, it's really starting to snowball and Liara is getting alot of exposure, and there is demand for her. Just confirm something, please BW! I want more Liara!

Hmmm...they all say the same thing but exposure is good, I guess.  BW hasn't refuted any of them yet so that's a good sign.

I made the point yesterday in speculating that perhaps the Liara DLC will follow Redemption's trend in terms of release date, in that each issue of Redemption was released at the beginning of each month, so therefore is there a possibility that the Liara DLC will be released at the start of May?

There was one more article I remember reading about Liara DLC. I think we'll hear something within the next month.

Interesting. Asari, Afterlife, where have I heard this before?

I still don't think it's going to be released soon but it might be announced soon.

I wouldn't expect it ready to download until the end of the year.

This. I think we'll hear something, but we won't be playing anything for quite a while. When the devs tweet how DLC makes them think outside the box in terms of adding stuff to the game that wasn't there to begin with, it sounds like they have their hands full and have to be very creative. That's going to take some time.

I would think E3 this year might have some ME 2 related stuff. I wouldn't expect to hear anything about ME 3, in detail, until next year and after the expansion.

If they've been working on it concurrently with the rest of the game, and have spent the last few months post-release adding the finishing touches and polishing it up, then there's a very good chance it could be released soon. I've always theorised that Liara's DLC has been developed simultaneously with the rest of ME2, due to BW already having it planned out what it will feature and what it will contain. There's a possibility though that they saw the backlash in terms of the handling of Liara and the romance and have spent the last few months rectifying that in the DLC, and beefing it up and including more Liara content.

I definitely think we're going to hear something soon, though.

They just finished up the Hammerhead and Kasumi, so I doubt they've been working on the Liara stuff that much. Now that those are out, they are focusing on the next DLC (be it Liara's or whatever).

We'll probably hear stuff about the next DLC or expansion at E3 in June. Like screwoffreg said, it's too early for ME3 and I wouldn't expect to hear anything on that until next year's E3.

Maybe they finished a large amount of Liara's content simultaneously with the rest of ME2, and are now spending their time beefing up the Liara content, adding in some romance, making it deeper and more substantial?

I really don't think they've only just started the Liara DLC from scratch a few weeks ago. They've known that they've had to take Liara's full ME2 role out and move it over to DLC for quite some time, they must have done some work on it.

It looks like Dragon Age is done for DLC at least until next year, the magical date 2/1/2011 (if its really the sequel as many are saying, I will be very, very surprised!) and without any more ME 2 news...well, its going to be a dry few months.  Bear in mind in the old days, when a game was released it was released though, without any hope for anything else anyway so I guess we have it a lot better.

Bioware said there would be reveals at E3, but I am assuming it will likely be a lot about SWTOR which comes out around this time next year.

2011 is going to be a very, very active time for us Bioware fans.  Dragon Age release of some kind in February, an ME release in the same Quarter, and then SWTOR in Spring (though I don't play MMORPGs...).

screw, something I asked you before but I think you missed it. Will you be incorporating any story told or romance featured in Liara's DLC into the ME2 part of Holding On to Let Go? Or do you have your own ideas regarding where Shepard and Liara will go in ME2's story?

I would certainly hope so. Although I would not like them to get away with cutting content from the main game and outsourcing it into DLC, that would be only way that I can imagine the DLC to be proper. Especially because I think that an important reason you're unable to talk to Zaeed and Kasumi is because they wanted to save VO costs. Only if the recording and maybe a good amount of work for a Liara DLC would have been done during development of the main game, would I expect it to be more than yet another pew-pew mission with a few short conversations thrown in.

Or, if they'd deal with the Liara/SB story in a real expansion, which would be the best thing anyway. Of course it would need to have proper romance content as well, and in the scope of an expansion you could also provide content for the other ME 1 LIs. I don't believe that any of this will happen though. That's why I'm not interested in any BioWare news and PR anymore, at this point I'm not expecting anything from them anymore and will just wait and see once the games are actually available.

Sorry, I probably did miss it.

I am going to seperate out the ME 2 experience into its own story, based off course on what is canon.  It's going to be rough to write an ME 2 focused Liara romance because you can condense down the entire time you interact with her to basically 3-5 minutes tops (less if you keep pressing the skip button!).  It will focus on the feelings that both Shepard and Liara have after seeing each other after so long especially in light of the events that happend in the previous story.

I get a lot of inspiration from other sources and I have a particular film and character who reacts to lost romance in a way that Shepard likely will.

Depending on when the Liara DLC is announced, I probably will have time to write something hypothetical and for my own amusement.  This will be a short story apart from any previous efforts that will still deal with the same Shepard...

For all the filling in the blanks that fan fiction writers do, we should get free swag from Bioware Image IPB

With Liara though, they have much more of an obligation to have proper voice acting featured, and get Ali, Mark and Jennifer back into the studio as Liara is a major character in the trilogy, something that obviously isn't the case with Zaeed and Kasumi. Also, Liara's current character arc could have major ramifications for the overall ME universe and story, and this would be reflected in her DLC. There's a far greater justification and evidence for them to spend far more development time and attention on Liara's DLC, compared to that of Zaeed and Kasumi.
