You won't get that dialog (the soldier one) if you have Ash (and maybe Kaidan) in your group. If you have Tali there it is a 50/50 chance I think. Basically if you see Liara's as the first name on the HUD you get more dialog with her (except with Tali, which seems to be a 50/50 like I said). I have no proof of this, except personal experience, but trust me, I have done several playthroughts and I have seen this partern.

So when selecting a crew if you have
Liara  (health bar)
Shepard (health bar)
someone else (health bar)

you are good. And i think that the only crew that goes first when you have them in your squad is Ash (and maybe Kaidan). So with her it's always Ash/Shepard/Liara (which means that you have a loss of dialog with Liara, b/c Ash will be the one to make the comment)

I think game 3 is meant, from hint so far, to be late 2011 or early 2012.  If an expansion came out between Jan-Mar of 2011, that would mean a year or less until ME 3, which would seem to make sense.

EA are only there for the sole purpose of making money. If BioWare tell them Liara's DLC will be a commercial success, they'll pump the money in required in order to develop it.

It's why, despite it blowing considerable chunks, Redemption's success and the fact that they attributed it's success to Liara's popularity is very heartening, and shows that BioWare are aware that Liara is very popular, and that she's in demand and people want more content of her.


i def want the dlc for liara, but like the escapist article had said, it really shouldnt be like go hunt down the shadow broker type deal seems kind of lame. i think the content should be based more in relation to the deal with shepards body situation if that makes a little more sense...i dont know theres just so many ways that this could play off, hell she could be the main character for all i know!

P.S. this pissed me off in the article...

"I was never much of a fan of the character" are you kidding me right now?

In that particular case yes, but I found there were plenty of  other times when Vanderloo Shep's smile was absolutely fine, friendly even. (He also seems to be the only one who can carry out the wink during Thane's  loyalty mission Image IPB)

That face in general seems to take a lot off undeserved flak. It's actually one of my favorites. Plus, being able to see it in CGI goodness also helps its case with me. It's the only male face I've completed ME1 mutiple times with, after doing roughly a bajillion Female Shepards, I tried with little to no success making a male face that looked halfway decent. I finally just went with the default face, and I got pretty darn attached to it. Image IPB

Yeah. Nobody has a real answer yet. It's all just huge speculation. I happen to think we'll hear something soon, but nothing is certain at all yet.

I agree with you entirely. The Shadow Broker is too much of an important entity to be killed off so easily, and it wiould kind of trvialise Liara's hunt if taking him down is an easy goal to accomplish. Perhaps the Liara DLC will just be focused on taking out a key SB base, and we'll finally confront the SB himself with Liara if the rumoured expansion that links ME2 to ME3? I just want Liara ready to be on the squad again for ME3. Dealing with the SB and getting her back on board the Normandy is the first step.

Oh, and ignore the Liara hate! I'm starting to become numb to it now, it doesn't bother me. What's most important is that WE love Liara deeply, and that she means everything to us!:wub:

That would indeed be quite cute! Shepard and Liara could give each other pet names. Liara calls Shepard "Shep", and we can call Liara either "LiLi" or "My BBG". I think Liara would like those pet names!
