So, if what I theorise could happen today, the announcement of Liara's DLC, it could be any time now due to eat almost being lunchtime on the east coast of North America.
Hopefully we hear something about Liara soon!

I still think they'll wait until E3 to announce any new DLC. That's only in a few months so that's not too long of a wait.

Could anyone explain the lack of maleShep and Liara fanfics to me please? I see a huge number of femShep and Liara, but almost none for a male Shepard.

I think people prefer the dynamic of the FemShep/Liara relationship, and how people can use their imaginations with it alot more. I like the angle that a lesbian Shepard has been lonely and somewhat ostracised throughout her military career in the Alliance, before finally finding love in Liara's arms. Likewise for the shy and reclusive Liara, she finally finds love in Shepard's arms.
I myself am a FemShep convert. I really do enjoy FemShep and Liara's relationship.

i def want the dlc for liara, but like the escapist article had said, it really shouldnt be like go hunt down the shadow broker type deal seems kind of lame. i think the content should be based more in relation to the deal with shepards body situation if that makes a little more sense...i dont know theres just so many ways that this could play off, hell she could be the main character for all i know!
P.S. this pissed me off in the article...
"I was never much of a fan of the character" are you kidding me right now?
I agree with you entirely. The Shadow Broker is too much of an important entity to be killed off so easily, and it wiould kind of trvialise Liara's hunt if taking him down is an easy goal to accomplish. Perhaps the Liara DLC will just be focused on taking out a key SB base, and we'll finally confront the SB himself with Liara if the rumoured expansion that links ME2 to ME3? I just want Liara ready to be on the squad again for ME3. Dealing with the SB and getting her back on board the Normandy is the first step.
Oh, and ignore the Liara hate! I'm starting to become numb to it now, it doesn't bother me. What's most important is that WE love Liara deeply, and that she means everything to us!

well after hearing those hidden voice files, seems to me it would most likely play out the way you said it would, her rejoining your crew on the normandy. there are already a lot of party members but it shouldnt be a problem for them to impliment liara, whoever gets recruited first gets a party spot.

One thing though, I'd take those hidden audio files with a massive pinch of salt. They're cut for a reason, and they're unlikely to used at all or ever see the light of day. Liara's current character arc with the Shadow Broker has been greatly expanded, rewritten and revised, and alot of what Liara says in those files is directly contradictory to what has already been presented in ME2.
The Liara DLC will be something different, and I'm sure Ali, Mark and Jennifer will record new lines for it.
