here's something I want for me3 who ever your LI is a real relationship would be good not just hooking up near the end actually having her live with shep in his quarters and stuff

If the Liara storyline IS the bridge to ME 3...and ME 3 sort of has a restart for Shepard, as Bioware has hinted... I can imagine one dramatic way it might end

Little things like that would make it a bit better in my opinion as well. I'm not really a fan of the hook up before we go off to fight. Takes a lot away from the moment for me.

Another restart? That's lame 

Well, it was hinted in a recent interview with the heads of Bioware.  Someone asked how they will have a dramatic beginning to "refresh" Shepard at ME 3 when they already killed him/her...they said they had a surprise in mind

Well I have my own sick mind of course, but its unlikely to be what Mac and others want

Just saying if you pursue vengeance wholeheartedly, sometimes you lose the very thing you sought to protect

The Drell becomes the reason then. To save his life or atleast find out what happened to him. She feels she owes him that much. We need something special for being her LI and being faithful though...but Liara is important to ME3...so she seems to be coming back as a squadmate...but in what manner does she return. As your lover living in your cabin with you, or as just another team member...we don't know what extra role Liara will play that makes her special and worth having alive in ME3...she is the only person that understands the Reapers as much as Shepard does...perhaps that will be important. Perhaps she will be needed share those memories with the Council...maybe Shepard will be captured and it will take Liara showing what she knows, to get people moving.

Outside of this thread, it's not a popular idea...but to me...Liara is the canon romance...their love is deeper then any of the other romances, and Liara has played a larger role then any of them. I want there to be a reward for picking her and staying faithful. I don't give a damn about the other romances, they just aren't important, or any where near as deep. If Liara did it for love, and it takes love to bring her back, and keep her off the dark path, then so be it.

All LIs have to have some importance to the story besides romance, as romancing any of them is optional.  Liara will possibly obtain some useful info from the SB, the surviving Alliance soldier might help get Shepard back into the Alliance.  The ME2 crew will be more difficult to work into the story but hopefully they will come up with something. 

I wouldn't call Liara's romance canon though it is canon for me, as it is my favorite and the one I've played with the Shepard I believe is my canon one.  Her love story is potentially very deep and hopefully they won't botch it next game

As for Liara's motivations, I still believe she's found extra dirt on the SB in her 2 years of searching.  At first, it was all about trying to save Feron but now it could be about stopping someone/something that is truely evil and maybe even a galactic threat.   Or, maybe not.  These things might be answered in the DLC...d

well there has to be a restart with your stats and weapons I don't think they will kill you again maybe have you arrested by the council or alliance for being a renegade that could clear your stats and weapons

I think we might have to as I am convinced the shadow broker is a reaper

I still think its an organization that trades info and keeps a sort of galactic "power balance". Doesn't mean that some members arent corrupt or even indoctrinated, but I don't think the organization is ALL evil.

I still think the Shadow Broker and Keepers are linked in some way...and thus the Reapers are involved, or in taking down the Shadow Broker, something can be learned about the Keepers former masters.

I am sort of going the babylon 5 way on this as the game borrows some form that series one thing the shadows did was have agents that got the younger races others fighting each other

and we already have the rachni queen saying she thinks the reapers caused her war plus what better cover for them to get info on the races and how advanced they are than being a info broker

Liara and Shepard (and crew) bringing down the SB and his/her/its network is a bit far-fetched. Though, they did all manage to travel beyond the Omega 4 relay and destroy the Collectors so...maybe not.



I'm on board with the notion that the SB is in deep with the Reapers (might even be suffering under a 'light' indoctrination like Saren). If not, and Liara/Shep and Co. take the SB down in a tiny 4 hour DLC mission, that's kind of dumb.

Yeah, I don't want the SB to be reduced to 4 hours...it would be lame.

I did read something on here that the keepers could be Rachni changed like the collectors were and used for a job keeping the citadel working and send the message when its time fro another purging

From the comic, it seems that the Shadow Broker is one entity.  We see 'it' speaking to the Collector Panel, though the SB is never shown and resides just beyond the panel.

The SB has many brokers under him/her/it, however, and I'm sure not all are evil. The majority of them have no idea what the SB is or what its fundamental motivations are.   Regarding Shepard's body, the SB dealt directly with the Collectors and didn't go though another agent, which means eiher the deal was probably a huge one with a big monetary gain or the SB itself is in deep with the Reapers/Collectors.

The Keepers are setup to be the perfect spies. Everyone ignores them, and they can go anywhere they want. It's just too perfect...if not the Keepers themselves, then someone that saw how great it would be to use them. Perhaps the Shadow Broker found a way to make use of the Keepers. How could anyone that's an information broker, pass up all the dirt they could gather for you.
