Looking at Google News, there are alot of European and non-English language websites reporting on the Liara DLC. Interesting. I wonder if Liara has a proportionally larger fanbase in Europe?

I think Liara has a larger fanbase then most people think or give her credit for. I dare say she is the most popular character. Just her fans aren't that vocal a bunch and her few detractors are.

Not to mention the Talimancers...possibly a minority, but a very vocal one; they tend to overshadow the other support groups/threads (including this one). While I have nothing against them, it would be nice if most threads didn't get at least partially sidetracked by that crowd.
But getting back to Liara...
My personal philosophy in regards to gaming news is to wait for official corporate announcements. In other words, until BioWare and/or EA themselves set into stone any future DLCs/expansions/etc., then such additions are all just smoke and mirrors. A tad pessimistic, possibly, but I see it more as pragmatism; and besides, reading too many gamer mags tends to spoil the experience of actually playing new stuff when it finally does come out. YMMV, of course.

I agree...till BioWare or EA says something...I don't expect any DLC. I hope for something with Liara and to be off topic, the rumored DLC with Leliana...but I don't expect it...as I said before...I lose a little hope everyday, as we wait longer for news.

I don't know for sure... but isn't there a lot of random posting in the Tali thread? Never been in there but I've heard people say that. That would account for over 3000 pages in such a short time. I can't believe THAT many people picked Tali to romance.
I could be wrong. Oh well.

You're right Andro, there is alot of off topic posting and spam in the Tali thread. Liara's thread and her fans are quite unique in that we never go off topic, and months after release we're still talking about Liara and having indepth discussion relating to her character. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Oh, and there is the picture posting and squeeing, of course!
Regarding these articles that I'm linking too, I'm aware that they're just rehashing speculation that started days after ME2's release, but I think it's great that Liara and the demand for her is getting alot of publicity. As I've said, it's really starting to snowball now and articles pertaining to Liara and her DLC are cropping up everywhere. That's only a good thing, as it's showing Liara is in demand and that people want more of her.

You known i start to fight myself whit urge to post open letter to Bioware CEO to FIRED:devil: Walters as lead writer of ME 3... but i known that for this is already too late...
By the Goddess... this could be so fantastic and unique (and very possible long term) RPG game series but instead we get that 'alien" thing called ME2 who whit original game have very, very thin bridge connection.
I am sorry guys but my reserves of optimism for Bioware's ability to perform any significant changes and actually return ME 3 from shooter at true RPG route is very dim.
In fact i really can't logically explain this stupid tendency of not responding on players concerns over game problems.<_<

This thread has always impressed me with the depth of discussion. We've had some rough patches *glares at Redemption* but we're all still here more or less.
As you say Les, the publicity is good. The more people that are external to our thread and this forum that start to talk about Liara's future and DLC the better IMO. I just hope BioWare start talking soon. I mean, this is pretty much the first time since launch that no concrete information regarding the next major DLC has been available. There are a couple of events coming up in the next two months that BioWare might use to announce new DLC (GDC Canada in May, and E3 in June), although they might just announce via the forums and website, either way I'm growing ever more impatient (but still very hopeful).

Ah, the day Redemption #4 was released. I think that will go down in infamy as the absolute worst day this thread and Liara fans have ever experienced.
I'm so glad that people stopped knee-jerking after a few days, and started thinking rationally. I don't think I left this computer for about 10 hours or so though, except to eat dinner. I had to defend Liara, and help to allay any fears.
Anyway, here's hoping we hear something about the Liara DLC soon. Turns out that what I theorised yesterday didn't come to pass after all. :-(
