Thanks for the comment. I've never played the Silent Hill series, so I don't really get the reference. It was just something that I felt like writing; truth be told it was inspired by a similar letter in the Tali thread.

Now imagine Liara reading the letter that you've written aloud in a similar way, with all the emotional expressiveness contained in Mary's letter. Just imagine how powerful that would be to hear Liara speak about Shepard like that. Very moving, and heart-rending.


Whenever I write letters, dialogue, etc. I imagine them being spoken in the character's voice, with the emotions that are intended to be conveyed. It's been a habit of mine for years now; I used to listen to a lot of books on tape as a kid. When writing that letter, I imagined it being spoken in Liara's voice, with the same overtones as her "confession" on Illium.

Both of those vids are very nice.  This has been posted before but if anyone hasn't had a chance to see it : Repercussions II

Features the Liara romance and the ending is very powerful. 
Because they said they could rebuild you.

MDK, I like it. I do agree with your thoughts that Liara's greens and blues clash with Therum's colours somewhat. Still, it's a great pic!

Something I've been wondering, and I'm sure that some of you may have an opinion too.



Do you think Liara and her character attracts a particular kind of fan? Do you think that Liara's fanbase is extremely devoted to her, and that's reflected in the amount of people who remained faithful to her in ME2? What are the defining characteristics of Liara's fanbase, and how does Liara's character influence those?

What I'm looking forward to seeing is the finished version of Liara's face. In the lineart, she had this beautiful look of love and deovtion as she was staring deeply into Freya's eyes. Seeing that in colour and completed will be gorgeous.

I can't believe I overlooked a seemingly important and interesting post as this. Does anyone have a link to Patrick Weekes' LJ account to verify this?

If the devs and writers truly are watching our thread, then that really gives me hope. They'd have hopefully seen the hours, pages and paragraphs of analysis, speculation and theorising we have done regarding Liara and her character, the frustrations and disappointments that alot of her fans are experiencing, and our absolute devotion and dedication to her.

Seriously, I really do hope that they are reading, and they know just how Liara's fans feel.

Nice pic of Freya and Liara. I can see how you've altered her appearance slightly for ME2, plus Liara looks as beautiful as ever.
