interesting im surprised we havent talked about this before but hey theres a time for everything. i think the key thing here is not to underestimate the shadow broker, he could have more grip on everything than you may think.

I honestly think the SB is already dead or has gotten real sloppy.

Look at Fist on Omega.  If you let him live, he just goes waltzing around the Galaxy, no harm done?  He SHOULD be dead.

Liara T'Soni embarasses the SB in front of a particularly dangerous client and yet she still lives.  The only thing the SB supposedly did was to attach an Observer to her.

Finally look at Shepard.  There was one pathetic attempt to capture him (Purgatory) but that could be a general Collector bounty as they have their own resources to give out.

Either the SB is completely indoctrinated/taken over or he is dead and Harbringer has "assumed control" over his network.  Why would they need the middleman of the SB anymore when I am sure the Reapers could interface with whatever technology he may have used to control his network?

I've always said that Liara is only alive because she has a connection to Shepard that either the SB or the Reapers want to manipulate to their advantage.  That would be the logical conclusion, of course, as even if she is not your LI, Shepard "owes" her and is likely to see her and help her in her "revenge quest"

To be honest, the reason above is probably why TIM discourages you from seeing Liara or trusting her.  To get involved in her quest would be a huge distraction from what he wanted you to do and perhaps he senses the same sort of "strings" being pulled.

i somewhat feel the same way, the reason i said what i said is because even after me1 and me2 we really dont know that much about the shadow broker in general. me2 did portray him to be of a lesser power/losing some power i would say, like you had mentioned he/she is getting sloppy, i wouldnt say that is entirely the case, but the whole ordeal with shepards body may have caught the shadow broker in a bit of a situation tough to handle and he/shes struggle to maintain balance of their information business.

Has anyone else had difficulty getting into subsequent playthroughs of ME and ME2? I've played them both like 3-4 times though and I just dropped an ME plathrough like halfway through last month and haven't touched it since. Not even the Blue Goddess has enticed me back into it :(

Yeah I'm just playing some other games at the moment so I don't permanently burn myself out on ME games.

I've been playing DA:O and I started a new file to take through to Awakening, but even that is wearing on me and I'm just drudging through to get to the expansion.

I'm done with ME at the moment too. The whole thing's depressing.

I do kind of want to play ME1 again though.  I might do this after this week is over.

I am pretty much done with ME2.  Unless more DLC(Liara, plz) comes out, I prob won't touch it again.  ME1 will be worth playing several more times, but I'd like to save it.

Why am I still up?  ... but I do think that I have one more playthrough of ME2 in me, as an Infiltrator, but I'm holding back before I try it again.

Haven't played ME2 in two or three weeks, don't have it installed on my PC anymore. Liara related DLC or a really promising expansion pack is what's needed for me to install it again. I'm back at playing DAO for the moment, not much else available that I'm interested in at the moment.

There are not too many games on the horizon that excite me, to be honest. The community here is great, but I haven't played ME in awhile. I can't think of something off the top of my head I am looking forward to game wise, at least until E3 gives us something to wet our appetite for.

The novel Revelation seems to point at indoctrination for the Shadow Broker acting so oddly in his/her/it's dealings. The mercenary commander realizes that he's doing things that are out of character for him to be doing, even things that are counterintuitive to his own goals, yet he does them anyway, all the time wondering what the kriff is making him do these things. He ends up on the wrong end of a Saren Arterius Renegade Option for his troubles, when he could probably have avoided it, and this leads to Saren finding Sovereign.

Reaper logic thus far seems to indicate that Harbinger, or whichever is controlling the Shadow Broker through indoctrination, will only discard a "tool" once it has used up all of its value. Unlike your stereotypical villain, a Reaper will not callusly destroy a minion for having failed; it will simply sideline that minion into another role, or perhaps retain it in its original capacity on the off chance that they can be useful again. If the Shadow Broker is indeed indoctrinated, then that's further incentive for Shepard to help Liara to destroy him/her/it; I would add that it would be an interesting side-effect for Liara to then assume control (pardon the pun) of the Shadow Broker's old organization, adding it to her own. That way, even if the Council won't back Shepard and/or she leaves Cerberus in the dust, at least she won't be blind to goings-on within the galaxy.

My word, that's absolutely stunning! So beautiful, so sexy, so enticing! I love how Liara dances! Thank you Justin!

As for replaying ME, I'm currently playing through ME1 right now with my first FemShep, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I love having Liara at my side again, it's awesome and makes me realise just how much I missed her.

ME2 on the other hand, I've only completed 1 playthrough, and haven't touched it since except to play DLC that's been released after the game's release. The only way I'm going to play through it again is when Liara's DLC is released, so we get her full ME2 role.

I've completed ME2 twice, and ME seven times. (two of them being after ME2 was released) Right now i'm on ME going through as a Adept, and then i'll carry it onto ME2. After that I need to play through ME with this same character again, get two allay achievements, make a new character and get another two. (plus also getting all the Biotic and Tech achievements) and then i'll go through Insanity on my level 60 soldier and also get the last two allay achievements... then i'll max out ME2.

Yes, I have alot of gaming to do, it's going to last me a lifetime!

Ugh I can't seem to go to sleep... I took it down off of photobucket because everyone voted for the slower one. I can redo the fast one and put it back up for ya. I prefer the slightly faster one too.

With the Adept I ran through ME1 shortly before ME2 came out, I have all the ME1 achievements (though since I'm a PC player that's like bragging about having a computer with a DVD drive), and all of the ME2 achievements save for the Insanity one. Call me crazy, but armored husks and varren don't make sense to me, particularly given the fact that certain biotic and tech powers can't be used on shields, barriers or armor...

No problem. It should fix the link on the previous pages and I'll post it again once it's loaded. Should just be another minute or two. On another note, I'm currently going to try to bid snipe a copy of Photoshop CS4 for $99!! Retail is over $900 for it, I'm only using the trial version right  now.
