Liara wants a Bondmate not a fling. She doesn't have sex or meld/bond with anyone until Shepard, because she isn't ready to have a child. And she wants it to be special when she does. There is no evidence that Asari can control if they get pregnant or not, when bonding. They can control it by not bonding. It's that simple. They can share memories in a limited melding...melding and bonding are not the same...when Liara comes to Shepard, it's been setup that she wants to bond, not meld and share memories. She wants her and Shepard to become Bondmates. Shepard agrees, knowing full well, this is how Asari mate. Liara and Shepard both know what they are getting into. If somehow an Asari can do a 99% bond...everything but a child...then would it not be far more dishonest on Liara's part, to do that, after having had the talk with Shepard...explaining that Asari bond to mate. Liara explains everything to Shepard...if you think Liara and Shepard don't both know what they are doing, the night before Ilos...I think you're just projecting not wanting to have a child, upon that scene.

Wouldn't it be possiable then for shephard to become pregnant , Saying that  , Shephard wouldn't be much use in game so hence  Femshep would be the father

I assumed they can control it. That said, I wouldn't mind if it's properly written and presented. The only reason for Liara not to tell Shepard would be because she doesn't want to endanger their child. I think my Shepard would become quite angry upon learning the truth, thinking that together they could've protected her best, but of course Shepard would forgive Liara.

That said, it will not happen, neither in the game nor in the epilogue. For various reasons, BioWare simply won't go there.

it would be happy ending to find that information out at the end of me3 , and seeing Shephard & Liara living together in peace .

Shepard and Liara will have earned a happy ending, by the time ME3 is over...they should settle down and raise their daughter.

I don't think so. But even if it was the case...then again...melding and bonding are not the same thing...so in a way, they can control it, as I said...anyway...I stand by my statement that Liara wants that type of bond with Shepard...given the context in which they talk about it, and the feelings Liara expresses about it.

there will probably be some kind of dialog which outcome [player's decision] will alter LiLi's character in such way she will either will want to have the child [old Liara we know-Paragon] or not [EVIL ME2 RENEGADE STYLE]

Of course we can only speculated if Shep/Lara's child is involved or no and it's up to Bioware to confirm or throw that idea out of window once for all.



However there is something what made me little curious till today.

Like i say Liara is still young and she spend half of her life in solitude so it's very possible that her knowledge how to properly control entire process is limited.



Consort is too experienced Asari to allow herself to become pregnat after each bond but in compare to her Lia is teenager whit plainly lack of experience in such field.



*sigh...*As much as i will love to see "papa" Shep and mom Liara how they fight thier most difficult fight of life aka rising thier own family i known as well that perhaps this will not happened in official story signed by Bioware...



By the way i read once fantastic fanfiction about Shepard, Liara nad thier daughter and author used pretty interesting way to name Shepard as Dame in such relationship.

Sha'ira is never shown bonding. Nor does she talk like that...in fact...she says...he wanted more then I could give him, or maybe the word was offer...but that sounds like he wanted to bond, and she didn't...Sha'ira has sex, and I think that's about it. That argument fails. It's subjective if the night before Ilos was special and beautiful or not. I think it was. Liara knows Shepard might die...she wants part of Shepard to live, in the form of their daughter. How many babies are born because the father goes off to war...and the mother wants some part of him to live on, if he never comes home. You also fail to understand it seems...that Liara doesn't tell Shepard about the daughter...because she wants to protect the three of them from not only Cerberus, but the Shadow Broker as well...then you have to think about that...Shepard might know, and doesn't say anything because of the same reasons.

Aww that would be a beautiful ending to me3 heh seeing them walk away into the light ! being at peace , it would be great to keep on playing after that i guess... like you can me2 .
