Approaching Liara, Shepard kisses her on the lips when she's cloe enough, and Shepard puts their daughter down so that she can embrace Liara warmly. Before pulling back and looking into each other's eyes deeply. They then begin to walk away, hand in hand, with their daughter just in front of them, skipping happily.

All of this with a softer, remixed version of the track "Vigil" from ME1.

God, I would absolutely love that. :wub::wub:

But Liara would never willingly have a daughter with Shepard the night before Ilos, or at any time post the invasion of the Citadel as that would be incredibly irresponsible, and totally out of character for her. Liara knows that they have an important mission in hunting down the last few pockets of geth resistance, why would she conceive a child knowing the incredible amount of danger she'd be putting her in? It'd be a very stupid thing for Liara to do, and for her to keep it a secret from Shepard would be even worse. She's not stupid and irresponsible like that.

Like I said though, I want the birth of Shepard and Liara's first child to be incredibly emotional, poignant and loving, with both of them there to support each other. The thought of Liara giving birth alone, thinking that Shepard will hate her after handing the corpse over to Cerberus, and being lonely and sad as she holds their child in her arms is quite heartbreaking. I'd want the pair of them together, to cherish the moment.

We have already been shown Liara is out of character for her and for an Asari when it comes to Shepard. Not only that, but the Geth are no longer the threat after the attack on the Citadel...and it could be years before the Reapers show up. Shepard just killed a Reaper...you think a few left over Geth are a danger.

I think cerberus would have to be delt with in order for Liara & shephard to be together , it would be very touching to see them in each others arms after all is done & settled... perhaps a momment of weeping because they are together >.< Image IPB

The pair of them are still engaged in open warfare, though. Regardless of the scale of the geth resistance encountered in the mission that the Council has assigned Shepard, they're still battling and risking their lives on a regular basis. It wouldn't be the right time to bring a child into the world.



Also, that wouldn't be Liara acting atypical of an asari, it would be Liara acting out of character full stop. She wouldn't keep something like a pregnancy secret from Shepard, and wouldn't willingly allow herself to conceive without letting Shepard know, or whilst they're still battling the geth. It would be incredibly irresponsible and selfish of Liara.

You will have to rely on fan fiction and art for that, I really don't see BioWare/EA giving us anything like it, unfortunately. That's why I would very much like to see a piece from MDK about the topic.

It is not a secret, Shepard would know...knew the night before Ilos, they were bonding to mate...they would of talked about it in the time on the Normandy before it blew up...Liara is smart, Shepard is smart...they can't talk it in public on Illium...you have your squad standing there, who work for Cerberus...and you have the Shadow Broker bugging Liara's office.

sc, I see where you're coming from now, you're viewing this from a position of high speculation. I have absolutely no problem with it if Shepard and Liara agreed to it. Would be quite heartwarming, and sweet actually. And poignant and sad when Liara gives birth alone.



It's just Liara going behind Shepard's back and conceiving without her knowing that I'd have a problem with. But if the pair of them agree to it, then that 's fine, and I think it'd be really cute.

Don't forget that Shepard is not bonded whit ethernal contract whit Alliance without clausule of leaving when she decided that in off is in off and family must take priority.
Of course Spectre status is unquitable but Council don't interfere whit Spectres life anyway so no problems here.

Another thing is that Shepard is not only one who fight geth so maybe this would be a time for Alliance to move thier ships and start to work for thier payments:P.

It worries me that the bandwagon of gaming websites reporting on the speculation surrounding the Liara DLC has almost completely ground to a halt. :/



I was hoping it would snowball, and it would really gain momentum so that we'd hear something about Liara pretty soon.
