That supposed deception though was for a very good reason, the fear that Shepard will hate her. Why's that? Because of her love, and because she cares what Shepard thinks about her. That's why.
Plus, you only have to look at the emotions Liara displays when she opens up, and the fact that it;s the first time in the entire reunion that she actually acts like herself, and shows genuine emotion. She's being sincere.
Thats debateable. Ive already said this, but I think Liara is basically admitting to not being able to trust him after she basically saved his life, with the only other option being staying dead and in the collectors hands no less.
If you do show resentment, Liara retorts with the perfectly logical response that it was the only choice she could make. I dont see why, if shes so ready to point out such an obvious fact, she on the flip side should forget it so easily with "OMG, Shepard might hate me".
I understand the point you made earlier - her ME2 role is an excuse to keep her out of the game, nothing more. The comic is also a pathetic attempt to justify that excuse.
Like I have said though, moving on like nothing is wrong isnt what I want to see.
I need a better explanation than the one I got in ME2, because "Ill let you go off on your suicide mission while I continue a vendetta for what the shadow broker did to you" (which will be meaningless if Shepard gets killed again) isnt enough for me.
