Anyway, the way Liara clings to Shepard is quite touching too. Is exaggerated in a snapshot of course, still I wonder why we weren't shown it from that perspective.

Oh I agree entirely, I'm just saying that it worked regarding MDK's "Shepard and Liara -Lovers" picture as it assisted in preventing the picture from being erotic, and more sensual.

In ME1, during the meld, Shepard and Liara were very close, and there was alot of close, tintimate physical contact. But it was done very well, and very tastefully. It was less about lust and sex, and more about romance and love. The meld with Liara was beautiful, and very touching.

Awesome! I'm pretty sure we will reach that milestone, this thread seems to be growing exponentially all the time. I'm pretty sure this thread will go into meltdown too when we hear anything about the Liara DLC.

Look forward to seeing whatever Liara pic you've got planned, MDK.

Liara's dialogue prior to the meld is very touching too. Couple it with how Liara describes the asari union in an earlier romance conversation, and it really is apparent just how much Shepard means to Liara, just how deep their love is, and how their relationship is very special.



There's a reason why I have that quote from Liara contained in my sig. It shows how deep the Liara romance is.

Anyone else find it kind of sad how Liara, on the Normandy, isolates herself away from everybody else, and sits alone in her little room, working alone and doing research? I know she probably likes the solitude, and prefers to be alone, but it's still pretty touching.



I'd imagine that Liara would have been in pretty regular contact with Dr Chakwas. I like to think that the pair of them would have built up quite a friendly relationship over time. Shame that the doctor never talks about Liara, but Liara is very complimentary of her knowledge of asari physiology.

It's by far the best "love scene" in any video game. I still say the Jaheira romance is the best romance overall, but of course the "love scene" was just a fade to black back then. The way it was portrayed in ME 1, and with the things the characters say before and after, it's simply beautiful, a piece of art. But of course that's true for ME 1 as a whole, it's the bext example why some video games have to be considered an own form of art. :wub: ME 2, not so much though. <_<

I'm sure we'll reach 1000 pages, so long we don't gain the attention of the Woo. You must have alot of drawings if you can asign one for the next 120 pages or so!

Hey all, please disregard the survivor thread, I am really quite active in that thread. I'm being attacked, but don't think it strange that because I am flying Liara flags, that you guys get bunched up in my criticism from others. I apologize if any of you feel the heat as a result of my passionate defense of Liara.

Either way I am a devoted Liara fan and since I was calling out cheaters in that thread, I have been targeted. Now they want to pool us together. my apolgies in advance.

Thanks, but your true appreciation should be directed at justin. He was kind enough to make me a unique version featuring one of my favourite Liara quotes. He's a great guy, and his Liara sigs rule!

bjd, what Liara says prior to the meld is very special, and touching IMO. The fact that she reveals that she has been thinking about Shepard alot, and that she's afraid either one of them will die and that they'll never see each other again is very touching. Shepard tries to reassure her that they're not going to fail, but Liara won't delude herself. This is what she wants, she trusts and loves Shepard enough now, as she explained in a previous romance conversation, to meld with her and consumate their love. As I said, considering how much the asari union means to Liara, that's deep. I absolutely love the Liara romance, not just because I love Liara herself, but the depth of their feelings for each other and the way the romance is presented and written is absolutely beautiful.
