But I also don't doubt that they had the intention to make her look less appealing. Miranda was always designed to be perfectly beautiful, but the other two female LIs? I don't know... (though of course Tali will look similar to a very beautiful woman too once they reveal her face).

Since we suspect the current Liara scene was quickly thrown together, it's not far-fetched to think maybe this is the reason why the lighting doesn't work perfectly either.

I like how Bioware defines Miranda as the objectively "perfect woman." She's not even as attractive to me as Jack. I think Jack is beautiful. Liara too, of course

First, Liara. We've been over alot of this, but I'll reiterate. The bad lighting alters her skin colour, and makes her look more powdery blue rather than her regular deep blue. Her eyes look alot duller. Her pupils are smaller. There seems to always be a shadow obscuring the left half of her face.

Now, as for Kaidan. He's been aged. Alot. He looks alot older than his 34 years during ME2. He has worry lines on his forehead, he's a little more wrinkled, and he seems alot more tired and haggard.

Ashley is unique in that I don't really see any discernable difference in her physical appearance. Perhaps her face looks a little less sharp and defined?

Yep. I'd say it was BW's full intention to make Ashley, Kaidan and Liara look alot less physically attractive in ME2.

I actually think Miranda looks quite hot, but the whole attitude thing kills her for me, in a big way. Attitudes aside, she will never compare with Liara though.yorkj86 wrote...

I don't believe that is the case. Keep in mind that they have new more detailed character models for ME2, and remember that just over 2 years has passed and I fully believe that all they tried to do was make them look a little more aged and experienced. In the case of Ash/Kaiden, when humans get to their 30s and beyond, 2 years can have a dramatic affect on appearance. With Liara, I just think they tried to make her look more experienced by giving her a thinner face. Of course all of the differences could just be as simple as the changes between the models for the 2 games.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

If they have Liara go nuts and attempt to attack a non-faithful Shepard or the new LI then I will FREAK! I want the cheaters to feel guilty, not some vague sense of smug justification for trashing her.
As horrible as this sounds, I want Liara to act like it completely breaks her. I want her to react with an absolutely pained facial expression, and with a quivering voice excuse herself before leaving. I want a non-faithful Shepard to absolutely leave her distraught.
Cheaters should feel guilty and regretful, not justified.
Hehe, that would be awesome - I'd feel so smug.
What would be even better is if Liara is actually a tiny bit surprised that Shepard remained faithful - not as if she was expecting to be cheated on, just very very pleased that she wasn't.

bjd, can you honestly not see the differences in Kaidan? His face looks so much more smooth and youthful in ME1, and he really seems aged and more haggard in ME2. Ashley I don't really see anything, but with both Liara and Kaidan I think it's noticeable.

I can see Liara feeling really honoured, and appreciative that Shepard remained faithful to her too. Remember, Liara has been terrified Shepard will hate her, so part of her must have also worried that Shepard would move on to a new love. When Liara finds out Shepard has been faithful, I'd imagine she'd feel surprised, touched, honoured, appreciative and more in love than ever.
I've said this before, but Shepard and Liara getting through this period with their love intact will make their relationship and their love for each other stronger than ever. There's real potential for the Shepard/Liara love story to be incredibly deep and powerful.

I only have your screenshots to judge. I've never seen Kaidan in ME 2.

I strongly disagree with the player mentality that "If I don't like a character, I should get him/her killed", but I don't want to start an inter-thread feud, and thus I won't say anything. This is a roleplaying game, after all, and you play it in the manner that suits you.

@Les
I completely agree. I hope that BW decides to go into full-on emotional mode for Liara if you cheat on her. That would give the legions of Liara in ME1, Tali in ME2 people something to think about. It would also fit well, as everyone except Liara abandons Shepard between games.

Since ME3 is going to be the second act for the ME2 LI's why not give them cameo roles to make the second act dark? But don't worry, you can still continue the romance!

Edit: NVM. I should save this attitude for group discussion, even if it was an opinion laced with sarcasm and irony at what was said about the ME1 LIs.

So anyway, we've talked alot about a possible scene in ME3 if you've cheated on Liara, but how about a scene if you remain loyal instead? Perhaps there will be a touching scene in which the pair of them really reaffirm their love for each other, and vow never to leave each other's side again? We need an emotionally charged scene as well if we've remained faithful to Liara. I want something that's quite moving, and heartwarming.

I think the ME2 squad will get cameos regardless of it being their "dark second act", but that's for another thread and debate entirely.

To be honest?
While i want the reunion to be happy, i still want Shepard to still be a little angry or upset over the fact that she basicly abadons Shepard in ME2, but i want it to end on a happy note.
EDIT: I guess the best way to describe my idea is that it should play out like a more happy and heartwarming version of the horizon reunion. Starts out with Shepard being a little bitter over Liara, but they end up embracing each other again.

Damn, and I was just leaving.
Lizard, although I share feelings of some sort of "abandonment", its too strong a term. Liara chooses to continue searching for the SB and Feron rather than help Shepard, at the time we believed, try and stop the reapers and save the galaxy.
Yes I hope she is apologetic for pursuing her vendetta above trying to help Shepard, but not by too much. Shepard was absent for a long period of time, and expecting her to up and join is no more or less selfish than Liara refusing Shepards request for help.
