Yeah, the DA romances are very well written too. I don't like that there's no tie to the main story though, so that you can see everything very early. ME 2 made a step in the wrong direction there too in my opinion. I lost count already.

Not necessarily true; I started out playing as FemShep, my very first Shepard was a Female Vanguard. Since then I've played through countless times as a Female Shepard. But I've recently become quite attached to Male Shepards too. I suppose part of it is because I romanced Liara for the first time as a Male Shepard, heck, it was the first romance I did in Mass Effect at all.

In short, this poster is not entirely true.

Same for me, I am romancing Kaidan with this femshep.

Facepalm at the "You make me feel human, Shepard" line for me, will you?

But actually, in recent times I have come to realize that's not the worst romance line in the Mass Effect games.

Is it a sad thing Im going to use my MP3 player to get thru my Male Shep playthru in ME1?? I really like how my Man Shep turned out, face wise at least, but its still hard going. Cant do a dry run for ME2, no port start ups suck hardcore.



No liara for my solitary maleshep though, he's going with ash, since Ive never seen any of her romance dialog.

How did you say to do the free cam mode?

Locate and open the BIOInput.ini file in your My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Config folder using Notepad. Locate the [Engine.Console] section and add the following line under it:
ConsoleKey=Tilde

Ingame hit the Tilde key and type FOV ## (## is a degree number, my shots were at 85 I believe)

TMA, that was...beautiful. I love the idea that Liara is secretly in possession of some kind of momento or trinket that reminds her of Shepard, that she keeps close to her at all times. It's just something that Liara would do.

Thx. It's a little something I thought of a while ago. The momento idea came from a good fanfic I read here with Samara and Liara here. I liked the idea of the picture from that fic, and wanted to do something similar, without copying it. I then ran into that asari yelling at customes to find her lost pendant, and thought that could work as well.

Interesting Note: The scene is inspired by my want for something more then what we got, because what we got made me want to leave Liara for Tali, because I thought it was a dead relationship. I thought I got involve in something way over my head, and thought "Why did I romance her in the first place?" Because based off MS1, Asari don't seem to have much going to make them "caring" people. They're either stripping, prostituting, becoming Commandos and killing, run dirty businesses, then become Matriarch's of wisdom, and that's it. And what about partners? Well, they do the deed, get their genetic data (all she cares about is data...), then mostly part ways, only sometimes staying with them till they die, and then move on. So I started seeing them as a very cold people.

I then started running into asari talking about momentos, and asking or being asked about them. I then ran into the Asari talking to customes, and heard her story about her human husband, and saw how important it was to her and her daughter that they have it to remember him. I then realized that they really do care about their bond mates.

Well, let's remember one thing here -- the creators of the game are very much against the concept of the Planet of Hats.  They make a point of making sure that not every asari matriarch is stately and revered, not every krogan is bloodthirsty and violent, and not every turian is total badass awesomesause </Garrus_props>.  So it IS possible that some asari don't think much of their lovers -- or, to use our term, 'bondmates' -- beyond... hrm.  Actually didn't Lia go into that?  Sometimes they part ways after the deed, sometimes they live together until the non-asari partner dies, or otherwise until one partner dies in the case of krogan or dual-asari pairings.

And have I managed to respond before les has "how-dare-you"'d you about thinking of cheating? :innocent:

Aaaaand done.  Gotta spread it around, of course.  I'd even recommend dropping it directly into the Tali, Ashley, Kaidan, Wrex, and Garrus threads as long as you have good ways to keep from cheating the system.
