I really can't see how this is up for debate. Shepard's asks about the true nature of Liara's hunt for the Shadow Broker, Liara explains. It's right there in front of you. In short, it's "Because of what happened to Shepard". It's there, in black and white.

My main play through Shep officially didn't see that dialogue at all.  I had a save that I went back to once I heard about that dialogue on these forums, but by that time I was 20 hours further into the game and had no interest in replaying a bunch of recruitment missions.  So if that dialogue is a trigger in ME3, I won't trigger it with my main Shep.

Wait you dont want to see it?

I saw it because I had a save to go back to.  But I didn't play that save forward.  After I watched it I went back to my game that was 20 hours further along.

I have only one completed ME2 playthrough.

I think I was the one who had the problem with Liaramancer.  It really bothered me 'cause that seemed like Tali's term.  I don't think I made Liarasexual up, though.  Someone else came up with it.

I'll take credit for "Espressularity," though.  :P

I have the same problem with it, but like I said I thought we were called "Liara lovers":P

For all her suffering that's based around her strong emotional attachment to Shepard, be it love or not. "For what he did to my friend, and to you, and for whatever he's doing with the Collectors."

Maybe that SB is a bad guy after all.

Ya think? :P;)

I'm going to add one rational thing before disengaging... I was speaking with my friend today and mentioned the uproar about the comic recently... mentioning the large number of people who thought they found proof that Liara's love for Feron is her sole motivation, and he jumped right in with "This is the 'no true Shepard' problem."  He's a total casual fan, truth be told, which makes me wonder if it's that obvious what the problem is.  (I took it to be 'maybe he is, for non-Liarasexuals, but I doubt it's getting forced'.)

What did he mean by that?:?

For the bolded text, I assume ...

All Shepard is is an Alliance Marine who enlisted at 18, had a spectacular mission of some sort, is a LtCdr, is the first human Spectre, and saved the Citadel from Saren.  That's ... about ... it, for canon.  Male/Female, Biotic/non, Nice/Jerkass... it's all up for grabs.  That comic had to somehow be made for everyone from our Shepards to the Shepards who keep threatening to toss her in the volcano, which is why it's so damn ambiguous.

It would seem to suggest so, yes.

BW still could have done a better job though, or explained it a bit more.

Last word on this, because Les, you are without a doubt the most rabid fan in the Liara group.  After you ask her that, what does she talk about?  She talks about getting your body back and giving it to Cerbeus, not about hunting down the SB.  I'll grant you that hunting down the body and giving it to Cerberus was all about her feelings for Shep.

Well, it's the entire quote that's her motivations.  Feron, that SB was going to hurt Shepard, and for the Collectors, are all mentioned, the first not in name though.

I really, honest to God don't know what else to say. It's just...there. "That anger can't be just from what you told me", Liara explains. At this point, Liara isn't justifying why she hunted down the corpse. She's justifying her anger at the Shadow Broker, and why she's hunting him down, her motivations. She explains what happenes to Shepard, what she had to do with the corpse, her subsequent guilt and fear Shepard will hate her, and how that's been tormenting her. Bearing in mind that Liara is still justifying her anger at the Shadow Broker. It's just...there. I can't see how it's up for debate.
