The Samara thing is ridiculous....Liara looks nothing like her. She looks like Aria though.

Seems a bit contrived, but I could see it.
I wonder though... how does that even work? Not sure about parthenogenic females but I know that hermaphroditic species tend to get both partners pregnant. How does the asari reproduction system determine who is the "mother" and who's the "father," since it appears that only one gets pregnant from the encounter?

There's as much proof for that as there is that Aria is Liara's father...there's none.
