lol I understand, but it's disrespectful to an LI thread to post pictures of other LIs like that, especially if you're not a regular. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't seen as an attempted trolling.

Apparently there was a big fight between optimistic and pessimistic fans. It ended badly. Technically, I guess the optimists won as they seem to be running the thread now and the OP left in a tantrum. Hope expressed that they will return in time.
I came in afterwards. By then people were talking about who Liara's father was.

You can't just quit on us, Kiryu, this is the Bioware forums. I refuse to let you walk away from the possibility of civil unrest. Is this what you want for your people?

I think just about every asari NPC has been speculated to be Liara's father in the past.
Personally, I think it's that random asari that stands by the stairs leading down to the elevator to C-Sec in the Wards in ME1.
No that is Morinth's father
I do agree with what you said earlire though about how if they made it so all the 'named' asari are related would make it all too compact.
Keep the father a mystery... better that way.
Besides already had enough 'father issues' in ME2, so we don't need another one occurring in ME3

Well, there is an appeal to keeping it a mystery, I admit, but at the same time I want to know!!! I'm curious.
Besides, Liara already has the 'father issues'....this would be a resolution of them. Not many of the ME2 'father issues' were really resolved (Jacob's or Miranda's come to mind). It's...different.

Ha! This conversation reminds me of the debate about showing Tali's face, though I know it really isn't the same.
If they go into more depth with the LIs in ME3 as I hope they do, then I see the identity of Liara's father as something that could conceivably come up. After all, with her mother dead, Liara's father is all she has left for family - besides Shepard and company, of course.

I always got the impression that the whole Liara's father thing is a Chekov's Gun. You don't introduce something like that, and keep it floating around in the background for no reason. I think that it's going to be quite an important plot point eventually.
Well there is a lot of stuff that was brought up and seemingly droped in ME2 for no reason or maybe because it would have "confused" people like the importance of spectres,Shepard having the cypher,Shepards backgrounds that are never really brought up that much, just to name a few so chances are they do the same with Liaras father or Ashs Grandfather for that matter

How many freaking times Liara appearance was debated here but this subject still returned and returned like some kind stink boomerang.
Why can't you simple accept fact that what we see in game is no more and no less mercilessly BUTCHERED content without slightest logic and continuity.
And futhermore if Mac will be ultimately cruel he can even hook up Lia whit Feron and all we could do at this fact IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because he is ultimative god of her fate...
Perhaps better solution could be if Bioware skipped whole Liara appearance in ME 2 and really prepared her for ME 3 instead of serving us shattered content... but maybe that's was the plan... to made Liara looking so bad and because of that pushing players in ready hands if ME 2 characters...
*Sigh...* I think i will step up from this thread for a while...
