You see, large corporations tend to start their releases of any kind during the beginning of the business week. That's on Tuesday. Notice every single huge release is on a Tuesday for gaming, Microsoft has "patch tuesday", unless the patch is extremely important for fixing a vulnerability. That's the day all major business revolves around.

I am correct on the microsoft patch side of it. I'm an IT guy and get their newsletter and other things from them all the time. Our hospital does have a "patch Tuesday". What do you know about the rest of it that I don't though? Instead of keeping me ignorant, you can at least fill me in.

No one hates you here, Enfants. We welcome you back. Like you said, if you just remember to keep a cool head when getting into a debate with someone who has a more pessimistic outlook of the Liara situation, then things will be fine.



We should allow these debates to continue though as long as they stay civil. There's nothing wrong with people expressing disappointment about Liara's character in ME2. It was a hack job and she suffers for it.

I'd like to repeat myself here, and like to add, I don't know if a DLC is big enough to follow that rule. I can guarantee though that ME3 will be released on a Tuesday 

True.  Games have fallen to the Tuesday pattern, and Kasumi followed the same pattern, much like record and DVD releases have, and Wednesday tends to go to comic books.  This is how I was reasonably sure that Redemption 4 came out after Kasumi, in regards to an interesting theory, one of the few times I didn't blow up the thread while correcting someone as a matter of fact (Les, I said it in PMs and I'll say it again, you're not the only one who has trouble constructively criticizing).

Les..... IMO, you didn't have to apologize. You shouldn't feel sorry for being optimistic. Optimism is a good thing, and we need more of it around here. Also, you don't give yourself enough credit for the role you play here. We need you here. And as cornball as it sounds, Liara needs you too. So please don't let a few angry users drive you away.

This. Tuesday has its thing going with it. I don't quite understand it, I just understand it as "the beginning of the business week" because that's how I understand it. Still though, big releases are done on Tuesdays for most things.

Yeah, not sure why myself, though games have followed home video releases have followed records, in that rough order... not sure why comics don't follow that, though I know why movies do Friday -- beginning of the weekend, though this is rapidly becoming a discredited trope in this economy .

Alright, having taken the time to read all of the posts created in this thread in the 7 or so hours I've been away at work, I feel obliged to say something.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry and I apologise wholeheartedly and sincerely for what occured this morning, and in the previous weeks and months whenever I get into a debate, and scare off Liara's fans and alienate people from this thread. Please understand, that would NEVER be my intention. I want Liara to have as big and passionate a fanbase as possible, and I want all of her fans and people who love her to feel welcome here. It hurts me deeply that some of her fans might be turned away, particularly when I feel responsible. I'm sorry, and I mean it. I would never want to splinter Liara's fanbase, and create differing factions that are constantly at war with and hostile to each other. We need to be united, to be strong, because that's the fanbase Liara deserves.

I'll admit that I sometimes let my passion for Liara get the better of me sometimes, and do seem a little confrontational and overly optimistic. But that's only because I love her so much, and I would never do it for the sake of being confrontational and starting fights with my fellow Liara fans. I'm only this way because Liara is absolutely my favourite character, and she means alot to me. I try to back up everything I say about Liara with evidence and facts, or at least opnions and theories based on those facts. I need to stop taking personal offense at anyone who does likewise, but from a pessimistic viewpoint. What I will try to do is debate and refute their viewpoints in a calm and civil manner. I'm aware I need to calm down somewhat.

Please guys, do not hate me, or feel that Liara's fanbase would be better off without me. I want to count myself amongst you, because you're my peers and fellow Liara fans, and most importantly I want to be here to discuss my favourite character. So please, give me a second chance, and allow me back in with you guys. I'd hate it if I were ostracised, and if you thought it'd be better if I were to shut up and go. I'm only here because I love Liara that much.

So yeah. I'm sorry guys. Sincerely,this is a wholehearted apology.

And in case I didn't make it clear in PMs, apology accepted :happy:.  We really DO need your enthusiasm, it's what keeps us going.

If it is, I think it'll be short on consequences, but high on additional backstory.  (As per the whole DLC connundrum, wherein you have to have a way for it not to mean too much to the storyline, as some people might not have it, but you also have to be able to make it worth the while of the people who did.)
