*raises hand* I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
Well if Kasumi's DLC is any indication Bioware may be getting better at it should they choose to do a mission structure similar to that. (Their DLCs in the past have really sucked IMO, unless you count that Neverwinter Nights stuff which I believe was outsourced?)
If it was an expansion pack I don't know which way they would take it.

I think it might get even worse, but then maybe not, depending on how many already left the thread for good. In any case, even if the Liara DLC is going to be announced tomorrow (or next Tuesday), we will probably know little. It's not as if they're going to release anything, it's only an announcement. I would anticipate that we'd have a nice upbeat atmosphere and discussion about what we hope for. Until it's released and it all gets crushed, of course.

As for the DLC, we're not even sure if it's Liara related or not yet. If it is, I'm glad everyone has themselves embraced, because a meltdown is no fun!!

I know most people around here hate the idea. But what if Bioware make Liara go all "Benezia" on you in ME3 and have her become a villain or someone Shepard must oppose, if they wanted they could also have the Virmire survivor becoming an enemy as well.
What would your reactions be?
I'd hate it if they did it with any of the three characters, to be honest with you. With what we've been shown so far, and what is driving Ashley, Kaidan and Liara respectively and what we know of their characterisations, motives and feelings for and relationships with Shepard, there's no way BW could do it without it feeling incredibly contrived, forced and completely out of left field. It would get a pretty big facepalm from me.
Thats what i thought. But as much as i hate the idea myself, i still have bad feeling that having the ME1 LI's going "Darkside" is still a possibility!
Or maybe i've just become a pessimist after the whole ME2 ordeal.
I realy need a new singleplayer game. IS Dragon age any good?

Yes, but it is quite, EXTREMELY a little buggy.
Especially depending on what platforms it seems. From my experience I only had a couple game breaking bugs (LOL)

Good plan. Not even EXPECTING Liara this week, to be safe.
And @Shavon, good idea, never post before 'first' coffee.

In any case, it's a great game. If possible, get the PC version. Lots of mods already more than double the value in comparison to the console versions.
By the way, the hardware requirements for DA are quite low.

I've heard it quite terrible on the consoles.
"EDIT" maybe we should stop the quote pyramide before it devours us all.

That's when we'll (hopefully) be hearing something about the Liara DLC. Who knows, maybe we'll get a short trailer too that heavily features Liara, like we did when Kasumi's DLC was announced?

Well actually it plays like KOTOR on the consoles and plays a bit faster because of it. Like someone just before you said though you don't get mod support.

I'm expecting the announcement for new DLC to be tomorrow, and only after midday on the east coast of North America. For some reason, I see lunchtime as being some sort of time point in which any announcements would be made, and nothing prior to that. So that's 5PM where I am, then.

That would be quite awesome, and hopefully if said trailer exists, it will be of a Liara that's not so, well let's just put it as "ME2 reunion-ish".

To be honset with you guys.....
ME is the first bioware game i played! :innocent:
"EDIT" SO therefor, i dont know how KOTOR played on the xbox. Also if my computer could only run ME2 on low settings with most of the effects turned off. Would i still be able to play DA without the whole world looking like it was drawn with crayons?

IF they have to reveal Liara's "father", then it should be Aria instead of the bartender.
Why?
Because i think that would be much better!

It would be awesome, but I'm still expecting something along the lines of "Alternate Appearance Pack 2!!"

Could be, though the one thing that makes me think it might not be the case is that Aethyta refers to Benezia in a very impersonal way, like she's never met her and she doesn't refer to her by name either. You'd think that if Aethyta was Liara's father, she'd know about Benezia a little more.
Plus, myself and alot of others love the idea of Aria being Liara's father.
