It's the EA effect. I expected nothing else from the very moment I read about them taking over BioWare. Like with the Liara DLC, of course I always hope, but I'm realistic. I'm not one of those who say EA is "evil" though. Like every company they exist to make money. We only see such a difference because BioWare always tried to find a balance between making money and keeping their own standards of quality. EA's largely reformed. They're still a money-making corporation, or course, and they're far from perfect, but they've been trying their damnedest to do exactly what you're saying they're not.

And it's hurting them in the stocks, too, while Activision sails on happily.

 Hopefully the Infinity Ward fiasco will cut them down a bit.

StarCraft was really good game and i wonder if ST 2 will match expectations of the really huge fan base^_^.

I don't care about Activision. I only care about proper RPGs, and BioWare used to be the best of the last two, maybe three companies to develop those. Since EA took over, nothing has changed for the better, but a lot to the worse. With the exception maybe that the recent games don't have idiotic DRM systems, but honestly I'd rather take an ME 1 with DRM than an ME 2 without.

Last statement on the subject because it's off-topic, but if you care about BioWare surviving, you should care. If anything will kill BioWare it's EA not pulling in enough money to compete with its competitors (like Activision).

Of course, that's assuming you do care that BioWare survives.

Sorry, but no, its too late now.  I'd be ashamed to associate myself with the Liara group at this point after they way everyone acted the last couple of days.

This used to be a thread where folks would look at things and speculate and argue and work things out with each other.  Now its all about picture spam and heart smiley faces and anyone that thinks bad thoughts about Liara in ME2 needs to be villified and run off the forums.

So, I'm going to leave you all here in your little made up fantasy land where Liara's role in ME2 was so great and grand and made such perfect sense while folks like myself and Dink who think Liara deserved more and deserved better than an out of character cameo that completely lacked depth and motivation will just go our own ways.

Don't worry though, once the thread is full of motivational pictures and huge posts of nothing but smileys and BW sees how happy and content Liara fans are and give you another big helping of "crap on a stick" for an expac because no one is left around willing to talk about all the bad things in regards to Liara in ME2, we'll be back to tell you "I told ya so".  At that point you'll have no one to blame but yourselves.

Speaking for myself, though I'm not a regular, I think plenty of disagreement still goes on here. It just doesn't get quite as ugly as it used to.

"perfectly OK"? Sorry, but I think THAT claim was dismissed as you can see from the now 970 pages of mainly discontentment with said ME2 content. Yeah.

Please explain me WHAT we could really do to show Bioware that we don't accept way which Liara was showed in game?
If we go in full way every critical thread would be LOCKED DOWN AND PERMANENTLY IGNORED by mods and devs.
What you and Dink do was beat dead horse causing more harm for this community than good and ONLY way to made any sort of push on Bioware would be possible if anyone from us owned control package of Bioware /EA stock... otherwise we are powerless when ALL CARDS are in hand of the devs.

So please stop acting like offended 5 year old kid because this getting silly right now<_<
