I agree, it would be nice to have some Liara DLC related news in the comic, maybe a hint of some sort.

I can't imagine that the writers would purposely write the scene and believe that is was perfectly fine to leave it the way it was.
After Redemption #4 we should definitely see some more news about a Liara Expansion.
It is impossible to forget or ignore the Lovely Liara, all you need to do is see her once and she will never leave your mind.

I hope we get an awesome reunion when the Liara DLC releases. God only knows the story needs it, especially if she's your romance. The comics are coming to an end soon so we'll get some sort of closure from those.

I doubt it is ready yet. At least I hope not. For them to get everything into it that needs to be in it I wouldn't expect something for a few months yet.

I'm sure they cut out a lot of it to give more room for interpretation in the comic. I don't really care for the fact that they moved a lot of the story to a comic, but that's how they approached it. Just 2 more issues to go and then we can move onto the Liara DLC. I want them to get it right, so I don't think they should rush it by any means.

While this may be true, I actually think they may have cut it for legit story reasons. Just thinking about flow, it would be a little jarring to have the prelude scene where shep dies, and then you are thrust into the role of Liara to recover the body before returning to life as shep. It makes logical sense, but its not exactly good narrative storytelling. You either need to show shep die or show shep's body being recovered. Both is too much.
Not that I'm defending how they handled Liara or the reunion scene or her removal from the squad. It was terrible. But I accept that the body recovery mission might have been too much to start the game.
