It's too bad we don't get to know more about her past. It's one thing Liara and Shepard should be talking about in a sequel, if such is ever going to be made.

We can create her past. Five things no one knew about Liara that you have just made up recently uncovered.
1. When Liara was 55, she won the annual Thessia Dance Competition. Everyone thought she had a bright future in shaking her ass in some sleazy bar for the next two hundred years.
2. When Liara was 68, she became the youngest student ever to be accepted into an Asari university. Aside from that one Krogan who was accepted 1536 years ago at the age of 67.
3. One of her very first encounters with a human was on the dig site before Therum where one of the local colonists gave her a Fedora. She never learned why.
4. Joker and Liara became secret best friends when she asked him to teach her more about human humor. The friendship ended when Joker killed her love. The friendship was back on when she gave Shepard to Cerberus. Then it was back off when she said Robot Chicken was the worst display of humor she had seen in the entire galaxy. Then it was back on after a night getting drunk at the last Cerberus Friends, Families, Allies, and Traitors Christmas Party.
5. Liara hates pie and cake.

The more I think about it the more I know what I want out of Liara for ME3 ... and I know it will never happen.  Darth Khan T'Soni.  I want her to be the antagonist for ME3.  How?  I haven't a clue, but that's what I want, but I'll settle for Liara as a squadmate w/ a happy ending.  ;)

You just brought up a memory. We discussed this in the last Liara thread. This would only work if done right.
I love the idea too even though it would have my heart in a wrench until we're able to rescue her from her own insanity. Other than that, I would hate it because it would nullify our ability to romantically interact with her during the game.

One thing we can be certain of is that Liara is a great dancer.

Shepard: EDI, drop the crew off at Omega, then set a course for Illium! Now!

D'awwww... :wub::wub::wub:

Hey Sunnie, you want I should write perhaps a longer version for my "We get letters!" thread?

On second thought, though, I don't think Shepard would be so cruel to the rest of her crew. At least drop them off at the Citadel...

They can hang out with Aria while Shep takes care of some long awaited personal, um, business .. ya /uploads_user/1070000/1069890/28008.gif

I love this picture :)  But I think EDI makes the SR-2 the BEST place for Liara to hunt for the Shadow Broker on.  The most advanced mobile electronics platform in the galaxy, that can go anywhere on a moments notice and the first human centric artificial intelligence willing and able to help.   What on planet in the galaxy could compete with that?

Crap, sorry about that. I copied the wrong IMG code. *facepalm*

I came up with *this* during the afternoon.

An idea for a Mass Effect 3 poster. I tried encorporating the title itself, but it wouldn't work with the composition. And yes; lots of red. I might do a version with a different color scheme though.

Awesome!!

So, archeologist Liara....was she a professor at an asari university or a free-lancer?

I can't see Liara being a professor.  Maybe she tried it for a little while, but grew tired of it quickly.  She is in her maidan stage, after all.  But instead of dancing on tables and joining merc gangs, I love to envision her traveling alone to unexplored worlds, seeking knowledge of the Protheans.

How cool is it that she got her youthful thrills from uncovering ancient ruins?  God, I love her.....
Image IPB

I don't see her as a professor either, but she needs a source of funding.  I guess the free-lancer idea is the best.  I still think she would have refused support from her mother (who would have offered it) but instead seeked out funding from companies, with the agreement that if she found any 'useful' data, they would own it.   I doubt she would mind who 'owns' the knowledge as long as it is found and can be used to support her theories on the Prothean's extinction.

I know when Liara was a student, she drove her professors mad because she knew more than they did, and asked very difficult questions that they couldn't answer.  I know this!  B)

Indigo, try putting a very small version of the Mass Effect logo at the bottom and centre of the poster. If you do that, I think it would be very professional looking.

Absolutely!  She also always sat in the first row, and took copious notes.

I don't why I find that so insanely attractive, but I do.

And she would always request extra-curricular study time with each of her professors, desperate to get her doctorate and pass with flying colours.

Yes...and she'd get excited when she wanted to say something or ask a question, and would shift impatiently in her seat (kind of like she does on the Normandy), waiting for a break in lecture so she could bring up her point.

I find it all quite hot as well.

Yes, and the professor would flat out tell her she needs to get a hobby or have a social life outside of academics but she'd just look at them with big, blue, confused eyes!!

I love that little chair-squirm she does!

You can just picture the professor rolling her eyes......... "Yes, Ms. T'Soni?  What is it now ?"

And Liara would, of course, be oblivious to the professor's annoyance.

And Liara would insist that studying is all she ever wants to do, that she wishes to follow her passion for the Protheans, and attempt to convince her professors to tutor her!

Well, Liara, if my Shepard can't grow old and fat with you on pie and cake, it just wasn't meant to be.

Haa  yes!  Completely oblivious.  The lectures always go over by 10 to 15 minutes because of Liara...the other students hate this.  Then, she stays and asks more questions after class is over and even follows the professor the whole way to her next class.

It's adorable!

Ah, I love that little chair squirm. It's like she's making herself comfortable, readjusting her beautiful blue posterior.

I could imagine Liara sitting down again, self conscious but quite proud of herself for making her point. Imagine her blushing and writing down some more notes, but smiling to herself.^_^
