Exactly like this! Looks great. Could be the cover for ME 3 right away. Well - maybe some would prefer to see female Shepard on the cover , but we all know that won't happen anyway.

  • When Liara was 21, she won the annual Thessia Dance Competition.  Everyone thought she had a bright future in shaking her ass in some sleazy bar for the next two hundred years.
  • When Liara was 42 {give around ~12 years at a university to become an 'expert'; and remember she spent 50 years in the field before meeting Shepard at age 108}, she became the youngest student ever to be accepted into Serrice Exploration of Xenology, on Thessia.
  • One of her very first encounters with a human was on the dig site before Therum where one of the local colonists gave her an ink well.  Shepard had to explain why.
  • Joker and Liara became secret best friends when she asked him to teach her more about human humor.  The friendship ended when Joker killed her love.  The friendship was back on when she gave Shepard to Cerberus.  Then it was back off when she said Robot Chicken was the worst display of humor she had seen in the entire galaxy.  Then it was back on after a night getting drunk at the last Cerberus & Friends New Years Eve Party... it was a small party.
  • Liara ♥Loves♥ pie & cake; and cookies!
  • Liara hates raw squid & sushi

replace the logo with a stylized version of this Image IPB SR-2 flying towards the viewer on the right; and needs small illegible credits at the bottom that no one really reads or cares about but it makes lawyers happy in the pants.

Hey guys! According to Michael Gamble from BioWare, there is suppose to be a DLC announcement next week. Here is what he said:
"As i alluded to earlier, you can expect a DLC announcement for something larger next week. Trust me, we're very focused on supporting ME2 with DLC. Micro-content packs are not the only things we're doing."

Source: Link

So, this will probably be a story content DLC. May be the Liara one or not, but it will be better than just items! :)

I was excited to hear that. I don't mind little DLC's like this, but we've waited a long time for those Liara DLC files to have a use!! He said story related too, so I can't go "Appearance Pack 2"!

Haa  yes!  Completely oblivious.  The lectures always go over by 10 to 15 minutes because of Liara...the other students hate this.  Then, she stays and asks more questions after class is over and even follows the professor the whole way to her next class.

It's adorable!

Every time she raises her hand, a chorus of muffled groans rises from behind her.

I won't hold it either. I didn't do it for the one that was announced yesterday and therefore I wasn't as dissapointed as others were. However, I still have hope that there might be one. Both Michael and Christina Norman have said that there is story related DLC in production, so there is a a good chance that we will see a Liara DLC. Now whether it will be this one that will be announced next week or not, I don't really care. I would like a confirmation, but I don't mind BW taking their time to produce it either. Quality is more important, especially after what we got from ME2.

I know I said earlier that I wouldn't allow myself to get excited for anything prior to E3, but I can't help it! I really hope this is the Liara DLC! The fact that he said it's story DLC fills me with hope.

I don't feel like getting my hopes up either the more I think about it, but hey, if it's not, E3 is just around the corner!!

I'm really excited for E3, and I'm really jealous that Sunnie will be attending. ^_^

I agree.  I've managed to convince myself that the Liara DLC, if and when it is released, will be even worse than Redemption.

Zero expectations FTW!

Evening all!

Nice avatar justin, the threads surely need more Sheploo.

The "something larger" DLC must not be story related, so I think it's just right to lower the expectations and just wait and see.

Thanks :)

The only story DLC mentioned was hinted at an E3 reveal. I doubt we'll see that next week.

Hm, me too to be honest. Well, just a month or so, then we have our Expo.

I see things have pretty much settled in here now, hopefully better than before the recent argument. I might start sporadic posting again in here again if this keeps up.

Fraid its going to have to be another poster in this thread with ideas like this though:

Regards this next "DLC release", I ran out of leeway for Bioware round about mid to late last year. Now its a case of "believe it when I see it". Ill believe there is DLC featuring Liara when I see it. Same goes for "worthwhile Liara DLC" to boot. I cant see the "story driven" DLC being all that story driven either, unless they are getting an early start on a shift in priorities for ME3.

A "something larger" DLC will probably still not be longer than an hour or so, Liara or no. With 90% pew-pew, 2% hacking terminals, and the remaining 8% story/dialogue. I don't need such content anyway. Can just as well read about what happens (or even watch it on YouTube). I would only make an exception for Liara, maybe for Ashley-related content too.

I wish it would be like in the good old days, where the companies would develop real add-ons and only release patches in between (a thing BioWare obviously doesn't have much time for anymore either).

Yeah I am still not expecting anything big until E3. I imagine that is where we will hear about expansions and bigger items.

So, archeologist Liara....was she a professor at an asari university or a free-lancer?

Very good question! I don't think we're ever told.

We have to bear in mind that Liara says she has been alone for the past 50 years whilst she's studied the Protheans. Do you think she could be a professor at an asari university with her being alone for so long?

If she were, she'd remind me of Indiana Jones. Adventurer archaeologist!

Indiana Jones is a professor as well.

I'm thinking, in the MEU, companies would employ archeologists, especially those that like travel and adventure, to go combing the galaxy for the next big Prothean data cache discovery.  Thus, there might be a need for archeologists in the private sector while, today, there aren't.  They are all professors and engage in research for the sake of the field itself.   I always wondered what type Liara was.

If she was a professor, she'd have students and teaching responsibilities, so she wouldn't have been completely 'alone' in that sense.   Also, if she's been on her own studying them for 50 years, it means she would have completed her doctorat at age 56, which is pretty young for an asari.  I do recall that Samara mentions that Morinth set out on her own around age 40 and how 'young' this was.  It's tough to judge how young it is in human terms as we don't have the proper perspective to compare.

Archeologists are still used in the private sector.  You want to build a road or construct a building?  Good chance your going to need one just in case you run across an indian ruin or something similar.

Dink, do you have any idea how much I love you right now?

Heck, there's almost a campaign advocating that Liara somehow "prefers" Female Shepards. So it's good to see a Liara Loves MaleShep sig. Image IPB

I have the same worries, actually.  I know there are files that say 'LiaraDLC' but this only means they planned for it at one time, and may not currently be planning to continue on with it.

All I take from Michael Gamble comment is that next week's DLC announcement will be for something a bit more substantial then 2 cheesy helmets and armor a lot of people have already.  It might be more Firewalker missions.  He didn't say it would necesarrily be story driven DLC.

Some think they might announce ME3 at E3 but it seems a bit early for that.

You are campaigning for Aria as Liara's dad? LOL

Then again my sig is campaigning for the Colonial Marines...

I should make one that is campaigning for Kurt Russell to be Miranda's father...
