That's a very interesting theory, and makes alot of sense. High amounts of natural eezo exposure hs caused the asari to evolve their robust cellular regenerative systems, and also made all of them natural biotics. Very interesting.

Wow, an entire post without going into how cute and adorable Liara is, how much she loves Shepard, how torn up and guilty she feels inside and how you can't wait for Liara DLC with deep, emotional content where you will be able to rekindle the romance. Heck, an entire post without even mentioning Liara once.

Wow. Image IPB

Over at the Tali and Garrus threads we talk pretty frequently about general quarian and turian topics so it seems only fair to talk about the asari in a Liara thread. ;)

EDIT:

Top post.

I think it was you, now that you mention it.

And I imagine that since asari are naturally biotic it only follows that a fair number of other species on Thessia have biotic abilities. It seems absurd to imagine asari are the only ones.

I like your explanation for how the Asari live such long lives.   I had a theory about how the Asari cellular regeneration system works, but I hadn't attributed its existence to the cancerous biological effects of eezo exposure.  Our two theories tie together very well.

I would like if it were Aria. Her part is one of the few things in ME 2 I truly like. And somehow I think she would care about Liara, does anyone disagree?

I don't know...she might not care.  That would make it interesting!

That said, there's no sign whatsoever that it could be her. If there's anything, then it's the bartender from Illium saying she had a "pure blood" daughter, but "it didn't work". That could be BioWare setting her up for the role, but actually I doubt they plan to ever solve the mystery. Probably they haven't even given it any thought yet. I mean, it's not like they invested much effort into Liara or anything.

Nah, coincidence...I bet there are plenty of asari running around with bastard pureblood daughters....esepcially on Illium.

More evidence there then Aria being Liara's "father".

You don't need evidence, it's just going to come out of the 'blue'.

Not initially perhaps, but as you say, that would offer rich possibilities for interesting content. I still think it's in her character to (learn to) care for her daughter.

In the ME universe, apparently virtually everyone has some problems with or because of their parents. It seems like BioWare likes that topic (the execution repeatedly lacks though). So it's not out of the question that something along that could happen in ME 3 for Liara too. If she is still on BioWare's radar, that is. That's the big question.

Yeah, not initially but it could happen in time.  It would be a chance to develop Aria's character beyond the cold, heartless 'Pirate Queen of Omega' she is now.

I just wonder if this 'father' issue will be dropped in ME3.  Perhaps.

I hope we never hear anything about her "father" in ME3. I dont see the need to find her "dad" as she has moved on.

There was no mention of it in 2 either. I wonder if BioWare has already dropped it.

Nah, I think it's a Chekov's Gun. As I've said before, you don't introduce something like that about a core character like Liara and have it floating about in the background, completely unresolved. I think this revelation could be quite a major plot point.
