I can't imagine how many shocking conclusions there could be without leading too much into ME 3's story. We already had a great deal of reveals in ME 2 (Protheans, interest in humans, hints about Dark Energy). Unless the Shadow Broker IS a Reaper (unlikely, as if there were any Reapers left in the Galaxy they would've accompanied Sovereign) I can't see what would blow our mind...outside of Liara getting her groove back.

Right. It's Shep's story. The games focus on you playing as Commander Shepard. It wouldn't make much sense to play as another character attempting to recover dead Shepard, only to turn you over back to playing as him once he's alive again. Keeping the continuity is a much better way to tell the story.

I agree, this should be Shepard's story. That's why I can't stand the scene where you are forced to control Joker. Though I think that whole part was also changed heavily due to time constraints.

That said, a tutorial level, maybe an hour long, where you play as Liara would be something new and could've worked. Don't forget though that the whole recovering of the body could just as easily have been portrayed in a cutscene. That would of course have needed to be somewhat lengthy, but it surely would have made for a great increase in atmosphere.

In any case, Liara could and SHOULD have talked about this quest of hers during her scene in the game. It would be an outrage and an insult to the players, to exclude such vital content from the game, just because they want to keep it for some comic. That alone would be reason enough for me NEVER to give them a single cent for their damn comics.

Liara is still Liara. No drell love or anything..hah.

Liara kinda meets the shadow broker with Feron. Feron begins to tell Liara his true past....and who he really works for.

lots of action and the collectors get Shephard. liara destroys huge amounts of SB stuff and comm stuff in his ship...he appears in teh same way as TIM.

Who is the Shadow Broker?  LMAO, and why would the most secretive man in the Galaxy EVER meet in person? Not even the Illusive Man does so with anyone but Miranda...

Thanks for the info Vigna :D

Although it leaves many questions to be answered, I don't think there's much more we can know right now. 1 issue to go!!

How can people go through the entirety of ME1 and 2, see what Liara does for Shepard and not love her? It's crazy.

So the Shadow Broker and TIM are very similiar I imagine. The Shadow Broker is probably Chaotic Neutral and TIM Lawful Evil.

You know, I never looked at it that way but that makes perfect sense.

The broker is still unrevealed but Feron downloaded info when SB was talking to Liara, and the Collectors have sheps body..well, picking it up at the base. Liara acts very negatively towards Feron most of teh time as well...end transmission.

I think they are pretty much the most powerful information persons in the Galaxy. At least TIM is attached to a race though, so he has some loyalty even if he is pretty awful. The SB just does it for money and power, it seems, but I haven't heard of any sick experiments...just the typical kidnapping and assasination..

Everything always makes sense when you put it in D&D language.

It looks like the last issue will mostly deal with Cerebrus and their role in Shepard's "rescue".

The SB most likely some sort of advanced A.I.
I don't think any organic could keep track of an empire that vast.

Yeah, but oblivion already played that card in KOTOR II.

Liara saved Shepard from "ascension". Miranda restored his life though. I will be interested to see the conflict between those two in particular if you romance Miranda after Liara.

Hah, so true. The alignment system still holds true to this day. I consider myself to be neutral good. My Shepard is full Paragon with a dash of renegade in there. Sometimes I'll break the rules, but it's in the best interest of the people.

Yup, but at the same time, I agree with General Stubbs. I doubt an organic being can be on top of that much information at one time. Remember when Liara said it may take years to go through the data? An AI would be the only thing that could do so much work.

The motivations are what seperates them.  Liara does it for love.  Miranda does it because TIM told her to, because he has plans to use Shep as a symbol.  I don't see see much specific conflict on that issue.

I was thinking the same thing. That would be a legendary cat fight. I'll never see it, but I'll watch the youtube footage of it when ME3 comes out. You know someone out there was ignorant enough to cheat on the blue goddess.

Makes logical sense.  I just can't imagine them pulling the same trick as a company that made a sequal to one of their games.

Miranda falls in love with Shepard though, the whole "promise me you'll came back" statement.  She even resigns from Cerebrus if you ignore TIM.  Cerebrus was her whole LIFE, for her to do that is a big deal.  Miranda also has no fear, as you can see when Jack confronts her.  She doesn't back down and she makes it very clear that Shepard is HERS and HERS alone if you romance her, as she says as much.  One possessive girlfriend versus an Asari with a vendeta...good times!!!
