Awakenings mini-review (via third party)

- took 23 hours to complete. Thought all the quests were done but did rush in a few places due to RL time constraints.
- felt it is important to import your Origins character since there are many references to things you did in the game.
- said the story seemed to fit better for human noble orgin ("more interesting") because of the location though also noticed things that would fit the new Orlesian warden character as well.
- mentioned spending an hour on crafting.
- said the story, characters, and dialogue were very good but that in some places it seemed they were trying too hard to copy Origins.
- lots of spells/talents but new skills "unexciting." All classes can become pretty unstoppable.
- thought the combat was easier (no comment on difficulty played at).
- said it was important to make sure your character is ready to go prior to import by having replacements for the lost bonus items as there is not much in the way of replacements early on.
I'd rather not say who this is since I don't know if this is technically violating some sort of embargo or whatever, though I doubt they'd be as forthcoming if they were.

Nope, no skull smashing. I just like to see who is saying what about our games.
And no, my DAO CE sits unwrapped on my shelf.
Remember, by the time you all got your hands on it, I had FINISHED it. And I don't mean I had a playthrough done. I mean I had ALL the playthroughs done. All origins, all classes, all romances, all subplots, etc. After playing it for 8 months, I've never bothered to unwrap my real game.

Well he probably just made it up...
No! He totally knows this guy who dated a friend who sent him a link to this review, but he deleted his e-mail and the dated friend is at work right now and the guy he knows has a bad case of the flu so it's best not to bother them.

Ah. No, sorry the Awakenings content (spells, items, NPCs, etc) do not transfer to Dragon Age: Origins.

Good. Excellent. I was a bit afraid of the 15 hours thing.

Yikes, I hope that is something a modder can fix for PC versions of the game. I don't really want overpowered items to transfer back, but being able to use the new specializations, spell lines and skills would add a lot of replay to the original game.

80 stands for 25 as 23 stands for... errr... 8 +-... that's ok for me.

6*
60 is a typo, although I don't know how the heck you'd get a 0 as a typo since it's like... 4 keys to the right of the 6.

They still follow the Origins example of "unlock once and for all", right?Chris Priestly wrote...
