Gah I feel like punching someone after reading Kasumi's LI dialog.
There's a line for Liara. Okay fair enough. There's a line for Morinth. MORINTH. But Ashley and Kaidan? They get nothing.

AAAAAAAARRrrrrhghghhg that's it! I'm princess stabbity! Stabkill!!

The only way I can rationalize there not even being a generic line for both Ashley and Kaidan after Horizon is that they made a mistake and left it out.  Yes, that's incredibly naive and optimistic of me, but no other explanation makes sense.  Maybe Bioware's dog ate the Horizon reference audio file.  Yeah.

Fitting since I’m pretty sure Bioware's dog actually wrote Shep's Horizion dialogue too.

Morinth? Really? MORINTH? Okay.....wtf? Is there any decent way we can make our frustration/annoyance/anger/whatever known since I doubt BW even looks in this thread? This is just pathetic.

Interesting morning so far.

Woke up with my Meniere’s disease flaring up so I’m not sure which way is up atm, cried over my morning tea reading Sia’s latest fic, laughing my ass off over “On Being A Sith Lord” and feeling rather cranky over the DLC omission and I’ve only been up for an hour.

It’s gonna be a fun day.

I'm so happy reading that thread to see us being called just a bunch of whiners since we didn't even get a generic acknowledgement.

Hell, I know Liara fans are in the same boat, but they got their comics (however much they may dislike them), and they also have rumors of a possible Liara DLC still.

Elsewhere, in the dustbowl of what used to be Virmire, silence. :(

I still think Liara's return in ME2 is not comparable. Romance or not - you get to to do some quests, get to find out a few things about her motivations and what not. *shreds the thought of the horrible 3 minute cameo in the air* Nyaaarrrrrrrrrrr

Ok for those poor misguided people that want a copy of my random stupidity, here it is :

http://docs.google.c...yN3h3bmdx&hl=en

@Kioux - yeah I actually thought about having shep say those lines, or the Morrigan type line - Oh not this again,I refuse... but decided against it. I've actually thought of a couple of things to add to it today but don't know whether I will yet.

Yeah the thing that annoys me is that even some random idiot student who got killed by the crab things on Virmire (Cerberus news network report at one stage) rated more attention than supposedly important characters like Kaidan & Ash.

I think it's fine as it is. Suppose it's just me - that I somtimes have this little voice in the back of my head that keeps throwing quotes while I read something else. Sometimes I am even fixed on one over and over again, like 'Hold the Line', hehe, can't help it.

During my first playthrough of ME2 I deduced that I would be getting as much time with Kaidan as I did with Liara, my reasoning being that Liara, in fact all ME1 crewmates got quest time therefore Kaidan gets some questime.  I was still holding out hope even after the main mission was completed.

I'm afraid that all Kaidan's role in ME3 will consist of a reunion kiss scene right at the end, with some epilogue credits stating that "Shepard and her beloved stayed together and nothing could part them blah blah"

Aye, that's been one of the worries here, also it's been one of the main things we addressed in the letter to Casey Hudson. Who knows, maybe with a little luck, we'll get a little bit of attention - we as Kaidan-Defenders.
It's stupid, even though that letter will probably take a bout a week to get there,  I am alread starting to get all butterfly-like when I check my mailbox.... *babbling off*

nah, they wouldn't have to 'save the ME1 Li's " for a simple reunion kiss. If they didn't care they would have made Kaidan and Ash recruitable, have them die and be done with them. They didn't, however, even though the path they chose was rather cheaply done in ME2. If this is how Bioware treats the LI's who could have possibly died in ME1, you can bet the new LI's will get the same treatment in ME3.

It's just one line in a DLC that's otherwise well done if I'm to believe the forums. One line that, to us, feels like a slap in the face because Kaidan and Ash are the only ones excluded from the DLC. We're already shovelling crap up a hill at times in our support, or so it feels and it's the little details that would help us a lot.

Again ME2 is all about the new Li's, who will need that spotlight because god knows what their roles will end up being in ME3. But if you're going to include even Morinth in a reference dialogue, why the hell not Ash and Kaidan who deserve way more than some possible, renegade, hardly a LI, will kill you character.

Yeah I have to admit that after the main mission I headed back to the citadel in the hopes of finding Kaidan or at least getting something out of Anderson about him but it wasn't to be.
If Bioware pull a DAO textbox ending for Kaidan & Shep I will go ballistic, I expect nothing less than him being a squadmatePosted Image

I went back to Anderson as well after Horizon the first time I played through ME2 expecting to get new information about Kaidan and was very disappointed when it was the same dialogue wheel as pre-Horizon.

I also went back after I destroyed the collector base and told TIM to f**k off and tried again for more info and nope, nada.

Oh I hear ya. I returned to the Citadel right after the very first mission, after Horizon and after the Suicide Mission. I ran though the Citadel, hoping to find some club with or drunken Kaidan... nothing. I even reloaded a savegame, when I was about to get that massive amount of Cerberus-data in one of the side-quests and sent it to the Alliance; after all, wasn't that one thing Kaidan was ranting on about? That I work with the enemy?
I think the simple fact that many of us tried all sorts of thing to find a sign of Kaidan or Ash shows our deep dedictation to the character - someone from BW must have noticed at some point...
And if we get the text-box thing, I'll bring torches and pitchforkes for everyone.

The Morinth thing is where I flew off the handle.
Yes it's more of a warning than anything else, but it's still an acknowledgement, and it's proof that Kasumi has her ears to the wall on absolutely everything.
So in the end, the serial killer who nobody is supposed to know about gets more acknowledgement than Ashley/Kaidan. Whatever!

... the only consolation I can get is that this dialog was written and probably recorded before ME2's release and before the Ash/Kai fandom became truly vocal. So maybe, hopefully, BioWare are listening.
But it's still irritating as hell.

I've read through the Kasumi thread and I agree with the Kaidan people in there about the cheapness of excluding comments about Kaidan/Ash. I wasn't really expecting anything from the DLC and really enjoyed it but having comments about _every_ other possible LI (or semi in Samaras case) is just lame. Sure, Kaidan/Ash are allegedly getting a bigger role in ME3 but throwing us a bone, even a iny tiny little one, would have been enough (atleast if your going to throw five big ones to the least popular LI in the game -.-).

I've decided to let my new ME2 game rest some and go play through PS: Torment for some epic story telling instead.

Ash fans have been stockpiling pitch forks and torches for awhile now. In case we have to storm castle bioware. Pyro even has flame thrower. We aren't there yet. Still waiting.

I feel slighted ( is that the right word? ) Intentional or not still stings. Was gonna buy kasumi. Now I am not. So bioware in this case,.... No Ash, No money.

Same here, was tempted to buy it just to have some new content...but currently not feeling like handing my money over to Bioware. Just sick of this.

We only have old interview to go on where Bioware states they'll have a big role in ME3...or was it bigger? Because if the last, it's still gonna suck. Should we cling to the thought, have faith they will follow through on what was said? Maybe so, but it's darn hard...for me at least.

@Liam - yeah I feel a bit the same way. Would probably have bought the dlc in the next week or 2 but now I don't even know if I can be bothered, and I won't be spending anything on Liara dlc (if it eventuates) unless the other ME1 LI's feature heavily in it either.
