If you pick a certain response  when Joker mention that you meet Kaidan on Horizon he will reply "that's is why I don't date crew"

I've been kind of bummed with the rest of you so I decided to think about happy things, i.e. ME1 Kaidan. I just want to share my Kaidan conversion story .. So I've played a lot of video games but Mass Effect is -the- very first one I ever actually finished. I don't know why that is, maybe I got bored of the story or I watched my husband beat the game. Anyway, Because you can only get certain dialogue after each part of the main mission you do ... I had to keep playing because I needed to see our 'romance' through to the end. So, not only did he make me love him as a character he made me love gaming more. AND now I am working on my very first ever "Insanity" difficulty play through and I'm getting completely wasted in a lot of parts but I'm slowly progressing. All thanks to the Biotic Sex God.

Haha, thanks for sharing this, it was cute!  I feel like Kaidan needs more fanart love.  I'm totally guilty of meaning to do some art and putting it off, but whenever I look for other stuff on deviantart, there's not much Kaidan love.  Thank goodness for artists like Lady Winde and Jho!

Tali I liked okay in ME2, though I wasn't a big fan of Garrus's.  And I wouldn't mind seeing them back as recruitable if they survived simply for continuity's sake, but another part of me is hoping for a cameo because if Bioware does bring Tali and Garrus back as squaddies in ME3, it's proof that they could have given us Kaidan in all three games, but simply chose not to in favor of "Ooh look, new and shiny".

Aye - that's what I thought when I heard that everyone could die in ME2. My first play through went perfect - all survived and then, well Miranda didn't make it in the other two. I wasn't really too sad - though I didn't hate her as much anymore after playing through her loyalty quest and finding out what's behind her story.
But - that's what my first playthrough is for - my perfect run *sighs*

Seriously - they HAVE to keep Joker around. With all love and respect for Kaidan, but ME without Joker is like ME without Shepard - he just belongs to the whole scenario.

It would feel really epic if you could have all of your old squad on the Normandy for ME3. I feel more attached for them then my Me2 squad. Those I definitely want for ME3 are whole ME1 squad, Legion and Kasumi. I don't mind if rest of the squad is sidelined.



It would be really nostalgic walking through the ship seing Kaidan, Wrex and Liara of the old squad. Wrex seems to be one of the squad mates most likely to be sidelined in Me3 though (if he is alive). Him not being recruitable didn't bother me that much though.

That's because what he's doing on Tuchanka is so important, I can see why he wouldn't be recruitable.  But if she survived, Tali's assigned to the Normandy, Garrus has nowhere else to go, neither does Chakwas. 

I actually like all those other dysfunctional misfits I picked up.  I want them ALL back, PLUS Kaidan/Ashley and Liara.  However, I can understand Samara and Mordin not coming back.

I want almost everyone back. I wouldn't care if Zaeed, Samara, or Kasumi were out too much though, they all have other things to do. Mordin's not really a fighter, so him being an NPC isn't too bad.

And I would dearly love to see more of Mordin, but he is one of the characters that would work really well as an NPC rather than a squad-mate. Zaeed, Kasumi, and Samara all seem designed to be gone by the next game, while Garrus and Tali really should still be around. (If you kept them alive, that is.)

These new topics appear every several days or so... Teen's comments are a very good generalization of what people usually say. They should just make a group and go talk about that over and over on their own. We don't need any more Kaidan/Ashley bashing, as heart broken as we are now.

My co-worker and I were trying to print one of the towel Kaidan pics on photo paper last night , and we couldn't stop giggling  She totally thought he was some model and she said he was hot.

If we could have Kaidan/Ashley, Liara, Tali, Garrus, and the rest new, with the ME2 squad in cameo roles, I'd be okay (just my selfish opinion!), but I'm extremely curious about how they will handle it.  Actually if I get the party members I mentioned, I don't really care either way whether the ME2 squadmates are back.  If it means everyone gets what they want, all the better.

And thanks for the link to Exitus, I'm very interested in seeing where this goes.  Poor sad, confused Kaidan...

And I agree on Mordin. I like him and I think he is curious enough to stay around. But I also think that he would make a good NPC and that he wouldn't be too angry if he could stay in the high-tech Lab and gets tons of fresh samples and what not. Besides, he's needed to create a cure for Thane

Tali and Garrus on the other hand - having them as pure NPCs just wouldn't fit. Something would be missing. This is of course assuming, that everyone survived.
Samara I could understand if she moved on, as well as Zaeed - he is a paid merc and he seemed to do very little bonding with the rest of the crew.
I could see Wrex returning, having united the Krogan and promising them an epic battle - it would suit him and the Krogans in general.
Liara is still around and her loyalty to Shepard is clear as well, so no question why she would return when she realizes how serious things have become.

The motivation for Ash and Kaidan are clear - they better be... you hear me BW!!

I have to add that Kaidan too helped me finish a game right to the end - I really felt involved in the story and wanted to see where it was headed, but unfortunately it made me very emotional when I finished Mass Effect 1.  I still get little happy tingles when the credits roll
