No my writing style is great. I think what gets missed is emotion, passion, an argument that is *personal* as opposed to intellectual.
The pointers I was looking for were more specifically what points do I address. What does Kaidan mean in to those who like him? I must admit here that my reasons for wanting Kaidan back are not as personal as many people here.
What Kaidan means to those who like him? Well, the first and most important point is simply he represents our choice. Bioware gave us an amazing love interest in Kaidan and we chose to pursue that relationship. Bioware talked a good game about the relationship carrying over across the trilogy, but the token appearance of Kaidan in ME2 barely warrants the term. However valid their reasoning about needing to keep Kaidan alive for ME3, there was a lot more they could have done even within the limits of a non-squadmember role. So now ME3 is coming and we are afraid that once again our choice as players to romance Kaidan will end up getting only a token acknowledgment, if at all. I guess the point I'm trying to make is this: Bioware has talked a good game about making Mass Effect a game where choices, and consequences, carry across installments of a trilogy in a meaningful way. Now it's time for them to live up to that or there are going to be a lot of angry and disappointed fans.
