I actually like Kaidan with his more serious character. When he does say something funny, it would be dry humor no doubt. There's this manner of respect for his superior in ME1 that almost makes it seem as if he's holding back, as if he's more reserved. Seeing as how he released his emotions in ME2 in a negative way, I don't see why he can't let go a bit more in ME3.
I just can't see him being light hearted like Alistair but I can imagine him having that bit of sarcasm like Carth has, though Kaidan seems softer by nature
I agree Jho. I actually picture Kaidan as being quite cheeky in his private conversations with Shepard once he's dropped his guard. but that guard is going to be well & truly back up now that we have the whole you betrayed everything, betrayed me type of scenario from Horizon, so I don't see the rebuilding of the relationship as being a lot of witty/teasing banter to start with.
I do believe it won't be that bad in ME3. The rebuilding doesn't have to take an entire game or whatever. They had complete trust, that trust is being tested in ME2 sure but it's something that's easily cleared up. Well for my paragon Shepard anyway. Those two just need to sit down and have a talk. My Shepard was loyal to Kaidan, gave TIM the finger and forwarded all files she could to the Alliance.
The only things standing between Shepard and Kaidan are those two years and her working for Cerberus, both can be explained fully IFgiven the chance. In ME3 Kaidan will have thought about it more, calmed down, seen or heard evidence of Shepard's actions. And I have no doubt he WANTS to trust her and believe her, the guy does love her after all

I've said it before, it doesn't have to take all game for them to get back together or having to rebuild it all. Will it be a rocky start? Yeah. But imo once they talk and Kaidan is at her side again, seeing her up close and personal, all business and kicking ass without cutting corners....he'll melt ...you'll see
