Awwwwww.  I never quite thought of it that way, but yeah.  If Kal'Reegar is to Tali as Kaiden is to FemShep, then for the first time I find myself thinking that we've got someone who actually deserves our Quarian friend.  Rabid fan boys be damned.

With this in mind, we totally need an opportunity in Mass Effect 3 where Tali and Shepard can have a heart to heart regarding their respective love interest. It would amuse me greatly, even if a legion of male Shepards might disapprove of its inclusion.

On the surface I'd say yes...Kaidan will be the one to die on Virmire...but it could be seen another way.

Most of these things have the hero having a best friend and a girlfriend. If they decided they had to have that for ME...I'm thinking they would choose Liara for the girlfriend...she's the alien and she was featured more in her love scene than Kaidan/Ash.

That leaves Kaidan/Ash for best friend...while they could choose Ash...traditionally that role goes to the male and not the female...so there would be hope for him to survive Virmire...however like I said I wish they just wouldn't do it. With so many different ways to play the game, a canon movie would be dissapointing to a lot of people. 

  There is a Trope I am looking for the name of, which is basically the "Self resolving Love Triangle", where one of the protagonists dies a noble death, freeing the other two to get together.  So I can see this senario happening.

It would make most sense for them to make an ME universe movie that isn't Shepard's story but a different main character, like in the books.

I like that.  I dont even remember that quote, but I like that idea.  Tali definitely deserves her own Kaidan, and while he isnt quite as awesome as him, Kal Reegar was pretty cool himself.

Agreed. I would suggest the First Contact War, but I doubt Hollywood would go for the idea of a war movie which ends in diplomacy.

I think what you get to hear is randomized, I've never heard the jazz thing he apparently does, or the Firefly reference either, just the...private noises.

 Definitely seemed to be randomized to me, I don't always get them all in different playthroughs.  
Joker would be the type to listen in, up to a point on the pre-Ilos scene.  I think he would have too much respect for Shepard to keep listening once he's heard where it was going - thats how it is in the fanfic I am in the middle of writing anyway, lol

That might work. I just don't think one about Shep would do...too many people have their own version of it...which is the way a RPG should be.

True, but Bioware are going to have one HELL of a problem when it comes to telling stories after the Reapers are beaten; the council could be alien with a human or completely human - Cerberus could be conquering the Galaxy, or may have been taken out - Shepard might end up dead; so might his crew.
