I don't see a ME movie happening. The game is a movie in its own right, and I doubt very much that someone would go through the game and make an entire script based on the multiple branches of conversation and plot that can occur.

 Definitely seemed to be randomized to me, I don't always get them all in different playthroughs.  
Joker would be the type to listen in, up to a point on the pre-Ilos scene.  I think he would have too much respect for Shepard to keep listening once he's heard where it was going - thats how it is in the fanfic I am in the middle of writing anyway, lol

That might work. I just don't think one about Shep would do...too many people have their own version of it...which is the way a RPG should be.

Indeed, the ME universe is great to use for movies. I really wouldn't want to see some canon, most likely, male Shepard and all the characters I love replay default choices from the game in some movie.

And no matter who they would pick for Kaidan, it just wouldn't do...well unless Sbarge does a VO

Agreed...plus I don't know...one of the main draws to the ME games in my estimation is the fact that you can make Shepard YOUR Shepard...and to have Hollywood potentially take some canon Shepard story (which I'm absolutely positive would be based on a male Shepard) would feel well....it'd suck to say the least.

All of us have an image in our minds of what our Shepards are like, what they think, how they act behind closed doors, little details of their lives that we imagine (all in that essence of roleplaying) and having some movie exec crush that fantasy to make what would likely be a blow 'em up, testosterone fest filled with nothing but ooh explosions!! boobies!!! funky alien sex!!!, brooding muscly man Shepard kicking intergalactic ass to a kickin' alterna-rock soundtrack, stupid dialogue and well more boobies...would be tired, lame and quite frankly an insult to the ME series IMO.

I realize Hollywood is sorely running out of good ideas these days, but geez find some other game series to corrupt...(preferably not originally done by Bioware please...)

I love that one too.  Its definitely worth standing there for ages to get his lines.  I actually got the" 2 years & everything hits the crapper" line straight after Horizon on my 1st playthrough, so it was rather fitting, lol

Probably the same reason they recycled the 'Joker is waiting for you on the bridge' clip...cheaper than more recordings.

Huh. I always just assumed that Sbarge was given that line to read without much context and the director just left it in, but come to think of it it was probably added in to replace a line they couldn't use for some reason (sound quality or something). I found some posts a while ago from someone at Bioware about how they'd sometimes have to splice together viable sound clips to replace others that didn't work out for technical reasons.

I would have bet on a Shep/Liara romance.  In which case I wouldn't have touched it with a 10-foot-pole.  Liara did absolutely nothing for me.  Shep/Ash romance I would have loved to see... too bad I can't seem to bring myself to play male characters in RPGs.

Someone said earlier that it was the same line(and tone) of the dialog Kaidan uses to tell Shep to go to the bridge after she wakes up after Eden Prime(after you talk to him if you click on him again I think).

Personally I liked Liara, A little too "innocent" but still. But then I like both so..

Actually in a Hollywood movie, since Ash is strong and independant they'd kill her off in the first half, then turn Liara into some co-dependant waif for ManShep to have all to himself.



You guys seen the Citadel movie ad on the um.. Citadel? That was hilarious.
