And yes, obviously we all want party banter and a range of likability instead of just a loyal/disloyal switch. DA did relationships sooooo well. And for ME2, the loyalty missions did take over the game...or were the entirety of the game...but I'm saying I see the good in them, too.

I forgot Legion's too, seeing as you can blow them all up or rewrite them.
It's possible if Kaidan or Ashley have one it'd do with the Alliance getting on your side or getting some support, but too soon and hard to tell.
I know! Freaking two!

Even Wrex had his own with his family armor quest. Did doing Tali's in the first game even change anything in the second game except with that extra bit of dialogue on Freedom's Progress?

It changed nothing. The one that got me was if you helped Garrus with Dr. Saleon. He didn't learn a damned thing in between ME1 and ME2

On the bright side - at least we got a better less cheesy romance and some nakedness.fortunesque wrote...

How many times do we complain that people don't like Kaidan because they didn't bother to talk to him. A loyalty mission makes people know at least a little bit about each of the characters and that makes it much easier to have conversations with other people about the characters..
On the other hand you could still not talk to them and now have found a convienent mechanism to off characters you don't like becuase you still haven't taken the time to get to know them.

Oh, God. What if they make him look like Jacob if there's another romance scene showing off skin?
It may just be my personal tastes but there IS a such thing as TOO much. <_<
Oh my gosh quote fail.

Yeah, but the people who do this usually still have a playthrough where they did the missions otherwise they'd be missing out an a legitimate portion of gameplay.

What was important to me was the sensible, even keeled personality and as long as he has that, I can deal with abs or lack thereoff.
That said, it is frustrating to not know what is to come. I think I need a break from all things ME.

I *personally* wouldn't care if they changed his body type. As long as they don't make him even more balding than he was in ME2.

Heh it is hard to say how he'll react to you in the third game and throughout the game itself. I like the idea of him being around you to look into what you're doing and Cerberus on the inside. Arming one hand but has one out for you? And the whole 'big role' he's supposed to play in the game.

I was thinking this too, and yet I'm starting a new ME1 character today. Speculating about the future just drives me nuts, but I can always go back to the game I enjoyed. I'll probably work backwards through my favorite games once again, and in a few months I can experience the joys of trying to get Baldur's Gate 2 to work on Windows 7. FUN!

Jho is our resident photoshop person and has photoshopped some Kaidans that are unsafe for forum viewings. I was referencing one of those works. If you want to see what I'm talking about I can pm the pic to you, but will understand if you decline

Ohh I didn't even intend it that way for once!
I was referring to how the model Jho used has a nice shoulders-to-chest-to-abs-to-bum ratio
