Yeah, we were in first row, directly next to ice rink. It was great show - Lambiel, Plushenko, Savchenko & Szolkowy, our young czech miracle Brezina.. maybe because so many of those skaters are going to retire this year there was so incredible atmosphere. Skaters was enjoying the show immensely and so was the audience. Glad to know there are others figure skating fans in the thread.

I commend that skater for his great taste, of course.

Oh, I aspire to be more than a fan.  I've been taking lessons since September... only recently progressed to the point where I've started learning some of the fun stuff.

Wow Joisan, we're both premeds and figure skaters! What are the odds? I skated for about 15 years (mostly pairs), and now I'm a judge for US Figure Skating.  

On a slightly more on-topic note, I discovered that my biochem lab partner (a guy) is a fan of both Alistair and Kaidan.  I was pretty excited to find a college-age male who didn't use the word "whiny" to describe either character haha

Wow, I am in awe! I am a good skater myself but taking figure skating
lessons never crossed my mind. Maybe because I was convinced that
starting over age of twenty is too late for acquiring true efficiency in it. But then we´re not talking about professional level here, I
assume.. or is it possible to start with figure skating later (I don´t know how old are you, Joi, but I suppose that you´re more than five or ten when most of the fs champion started to train ) and succesfully compete..?


And here goes Kaidan with omnitool again, I am closing my eyes and i am going to pretend that I never saw him. This pic really turned out far too well for peaceful sleep.

Haha, that's cool, I understand that most guys aren't going to like Alistair and Kaidan *quite* as much if they don't romance them, but it's a sign of good taste when they're able to appreciate them even as bros.  My younger brother is the type who would like Kaidan and Alistair, while my older brother would probably sacrifice them both as soon as he gets the chance.  I try not to hold that against him.

I'm twenty.  Never had any illusions of being professional quality but I'm doing this for myself and no one else.  I don't compete, no.  At least not yet; I mean, I haven't even been taking lessons for a year!  I would say go for it wholeheartedly if it's something you want to do.  You just might surprise yourself with what you're able to learn.
