A lot of women liked Alistair it seems, but I really hope they don't go the tragedy route with any LI, or that stupid paragon/renegading thing that was in DA where Alistair would break up with the Warden if you didn't make a certain choice in a conversation no one had an idea would matter so much. I thought that could have been handled much better.

Actually on other forums I see a lot of love for Alistair  Not Kaiden, but I think most heterosexual guys just don't 'get', Kaiden iykwim?

Yeah I'm not sure what I want to choose in the end. I did end up choosing a female human noble, so I could do the whole marriage thing, but then again I think I'd just prefer him sticking around with me, no kingness. That feels more righ to me. The whole.. 'hardening' thing confuses me too. I have to keep looking at webpages to remember what option is there if I do so and so instead.
I don't think I'm cruel enough to make him sleep with Morrigan either.

For Mass Effect, I want the option to be there for something more.... tragic, but also be able to have a happy one. Dragon Age is a friggin long ass game, so it does make it a pain to playthrough many times.

I dunno what I want I guess. I'll be happy with what's there either way, I'm playing the game for the rest of the story just as much.

@Batteries I tend to think that because this is a trilogy, we deserve at least the possibility of happy endings to our romances. In DA it's more "excusable" because it was all in one single game. But ME is a trilogy, if say Star Wars had the heroes die at the end, people would be pretty disappointed. I'd be fine with the ability for tragic endings, but only as an ability rather than having tragedy forced upon us. We shouldn't have to bust out a walkthrough like DA had many people, to get a satisfactory ending.
