Morning everyone. Just finished catching up. About marriage or no, I don't really think it's necessary. As long as I get a happy ending, nothing ambiguous like "Kaidan and Shepard travelled the universe for a while before they went their separate ways". After three games I want something satisfactory like "Kaidan and Shepard travelled together, inseparable, FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER!!"
Or it could be something nice like "After the battle against the reapers Kaidan and Shepard decided to leave their service and settle down. They soon gave birth to a baby-boy which they gave the name 'GARRUS'/'CAPTAIN ANDERSON' (someone of the characters that gave his life at the last battle). Enjoying the family life they felt they had new purpose in life." I would like something that atleast
Hope they would name him David and not Captain Anderson..the poor kid j/kSorry vivid imagination took over hehe
But I agree any happy ending will do, just think it would be cool to actually see shot from a marriage or something. If only to see Kaidan all dressed up *melts*
Oh, the potential fic for bachelor/bachelorette parties. Oh, damn, there went my muse...

Since I have definitely been motivated by your 'motivationals', I will say YES! Please and thank you! Anything Jho or anyone else wants to toss my way will always be welcome.
And I am really going to bed now. Really. Why couldn't it be Friday when I didn't have to work in the morning????

I think a drunken dare was involved in writing Jacobs dialogue. But on the other hand these are the same people who made shep sound like the ship skank when talking to Jacob, gave Miranda's ass a life & personality of its own, gave us Jack with her tattoos & nipple strap, romances that were so cringeworthy & cheesy compared to ME1, (and I use the term romance loosely because they were more like quick lets get our rocks off than an actual relationship). Not to mention those wonderful cameos. So I'm not exactly going to call them "our beloved Bioware devs".BECC4 wrote...

This, I don't even hate Jacob but his dialogue, is well, awful!
My top 3 team mates still rank
1. Kaidan
2. Ash
3. Wrex
So yeah ME2 sucked for me squad wise.

I'm really curious as to where they will be going with all the ME2 squadmates, extremely curious even because I have this nasty feeling their fans might be as disappointed as we are now with Kaidan's role. It's not because I don't like the characters, it's just what's been said in interviews and the feeling the characters give me. I'm hoping for less characters in ME3 and more dialogue and detail for those they do bring back!
I don't want Kaidan to suffer from the "we've got way too many characters to put resources into", I really don't. But it will be interesting to see where Bioware is going and how they are going to handle it all.

Afternoon all
I actually don't need to see them get married as long as I know that they will end up together. shep hints at wanting to stop a couple of times in ME2 - once to Grunt & once to Gianna, so I just hope bioware carry through on it. I would be seriously put out though if we got the dreaded textbox ending. That was the only thing I really hated about DAO (well apart form the fact I couldn't kill Anora, lol). Although come to think of it we got text boxes in Jade Empire as well so I wouldn't put it past them.
PODS! PODS FOR ANORA! Morning everyone. Just doing my catch up reading before work.

From Casey Hudson's interview, one might assume that the investment into development will be more intense with the ones they didn't want us to be able to kill, that one way or another they will be central to the game. Now (supposition of course) if this were in a non party member way they must play a pivotal role of some description but his wording (which I keep coming back to) implies that it was very important to BioWare that the Virmire survivor and Liara are alive and well in 3 especially given that their cameos could have been expanded in 2 makes me wonder if their place in 3 has been set BY what they are doing now.
If they bring them back as squadmates they need to reintroduce Kaiden as a man who has grown, changed, seen things and has developed as a biotic into someone people want on their team (not us, obviously, the Kaiden bashers) and pretty much the same for Liara, not so innocent and trusting more grown up with a wisdom that belies her Asari youth.

Did they say recruitable? So far all I've heard is them talking about who might be returning (and only for the ME1 Li's), but I haven't heard them confirm them as squadmates yet. Could just be me though
I'm not going to assume anything anymore when it comes to characters, but yes they will return to play important roles...which could mean anything.
Hence why I'm so curious as to HOW they will handle it all because quantity has to come at the expense of something.
And agreed, Kaidan would not be the exact same man we got to know and love in ME1. Also very curious as to what he's been up to for the past two years so I hope they'll share that with us at some point
