Blegh, from the moment I started on the pic itself I was torn on the shirt issue..now that I have a comparison I prefer the shirtless but the shirt makes more sense in a way...

Oh well it's our Normandy, he's not allowed to wear a shirt while on duty anyway

  I agree about that last part, but the shirt version looks good so far.  You should finish it and post it too, for us lame people who have to view the thread at work.

Oh, and funny story, I was reading the thread the other day, and there was a picture of Sparkly Eyed Kaidan on the screen, and a co-worker walking by said "oh, who's that!" and then "hey, aren't you married???"

I didn't explain that it was a video game character, but I was like, hey, I can look!

@Jho: yeah, for shirt pic. I actually really like a lot of the ones where he has clothes... not sure why. Slightly more in character? I get to imagine Shepard taking them off? *snickers* And yes, he looks very fine in Alliance blue. And the tuxedo.

I'm curious, what do you think Kaidan was doing in between his time with BAat and joining the Alliance? Working the shipyard docks, hoping no one would pay any attention to him? Going to uni? Took up painting?

Going back to the topic of yesterday, of what loose ends we'd want to tie up in our lives before going on the suicide mission, just made me think of how frustrated I was by not being able to respond in any way to the email.  I mean, I know they've said that Shepard is a set character in many ways, but does she *always* have to be an emotional void?  You can explain Kaidan/Ashley's behavior on Horizon as being shocked and confused, but Shepard was just wooden.  Then you get this email, and no way to respond...it would have been nice to either reassure Kaidan, if you're staying faithful, or tell him it was over, if you had a new LI.  I think my Shepard deserved her own loyalty mission, just for that...

So true, this bothered me so much.  I wanted a way to respond, or to call him w/our fancy comm room to resolve things.  My spacerShep was also seriously peeved she couldn't call her mom.  If BW is gonna put in something like email, they really need to think it through a bit more.  No reply button?  That's a crappy email browser.  I mean, they even gave us junk mail!

That's a very interesting question, it would make great fan fiction material.  I think whatever he did, really shaped the person he later became.  Kaidan was very shaken by losing control and killing Vyrnnus, and now he's extremely disciplined and reserved.  Obviously something happened that allowed him to move past BAaT and learn to use his biotics responsibly.  Maybe he took up meditation...

Absolutely.  I think they could have used a dialogue wheel-type thing to allow you to at least partially customize the tone etc. of the letter and then have Kaidan respond appropriately.

I call them civvies.  Not that they're actually civilian clothes, but that's what I wrote anyways.  Alternatively, they could be class C's?  So making that up, but class A's are the jacket uniform, class B's are just the dress shirt, and mess dress or dress blues, is usually the really formal stuff.  Or ASU's, in the army, right now, for the fancy shirt, but I don't remember what that stands for and Kaidan's marines, and I don't know they're slang.  And the casual uniform is obviously not BDU (battle dress) or ACUs.

Wow, that was not a helpful, coherent sentence.  Sorry.

Yes he does, it's just a big puzzle to get a shirt to match the body and position. But I'll get there.

As for what they are called...no idea actually. What's the similiar Cerberus version called? Doesn't it have a name when you select it ingame?

Yes, apparently his name is actually spelled, Kaiden...
