HMM, yes, now that I have read this eleven billionth horribly spelled, unfunny hate thread about "Kaiden", I have changed my mind. I'm deleting all my characters and making a Sheploo to be all creepy with Tali. Thanks for this stunning revelation!!!

Do any of the outfits have a name? I have the PC version, and I can't recall seeing names at all. Personally, I think of the hot cargo pants/t-shirt outfit as the Alliance blues, even though I suppose that term could technically refer to all different types of the uniforms.

I will join everyone in ignoring that silly thread. I don't know anyone called Kaiden anyway!

Well you could call it a standard alliance uniform and the more official looking one a dress uniform? hmm

The Mess is what a kitchen is called. It can also refer to the eating area near a kitchen.
I've always called the uniform, Alliance or Cerberus, BDUs. Battle Dress Uniform. It's a bit outdated but it does encompass everything nicely.

Mess dress is actually the really formal outfit. Fancy ball level formal. Or, it is in the army, anyways. class A's are more what Anderson usually wears, while class B's would be the same slacks, but a classic button-up shirt, either long or short sleeved, no jacket. The old fashioned camo outfits that people used to wear were called BDUs (or battle dress). I'm not sure where the outfit they all wear on ship would fit in this hierarchy, as it's more practical than class B's, but not actual battle dress clothing. Thus, my imagination calls them class C's or civvies.

Urg, now I remember. I'd call 'em "B's."

I think that uniform closely resembles camouflage utilities, often lovingly referred to as cammies. Also, when going on motivational runs, one can strip of the top blouse and just wear a pt shirt with the bottoms. This is referred to as boots and utes.

I'm curious, what do you think Kaidan was doing in between his time with BAat and joining the Alliance? Working the shipyard docks, hoping no one would pay any attention to him? Going to uni? Took up painting?
Good morning, all!
I've thought about this a lot. After BAaT, he was sent back home. I doubt his friends from where he used to live were still his close friends; he'd been gone for a long time and hadn't had contact. The fact that he was a biotic that lost control and accidentally killed someone is also very significant. I couldn't imagine the way his family felt; they had to know... there's no way he wouldn't tell his parents. So I doubt his family could look at him the same way after what happened, no matter how much they loved him. He's lost his 'first love' by trying to defend her. He's killed someone and didn't mean to do it. He's misunderstood by society and his family and friends.
The mental picture I get is a very lonely, depressed, self-loathing teen that feels immense guilt over killing someone. I wouldn't be surprised if he attempted suicide while living with his parents. The subsequent counseling probably gave him the tools to cope with loss, hence him being able to date after Shepard died where Ashley wasn't.
Anyway, that's how it happened in my head

Unfortunately, people like the OP of that thread are going to believe what they want. There's no sense in arguing with a half-witted bore like that

I'm cool with it because you can totally see every muscle through the shirt, just like in the game. So it's actually more accurate. That and the work crowd needs some sexy Kaidans that they can post and look at.

Actually, now that you mention it, I guess it looks more like a frog suit. And BTW, while I was trying to google an example, it kept coming up with Super Mario Bros. Very annoying.fortunesque wrote...

This seems like a close, current day equivalent.
