Morning again people, I've had a relatively productive morning as far as fic is concerned, so yay me.

Where is everyone, I hardly had any pages to catch up on, lol

@Alanna - like the pics.

This is good; I think this is the version you should send to the motivationals thread.  I predict they'll like it; poking fun at the Hammerhead is generally well-received.

ok heading back to lurking since i seem to have killed the thread today but

? what do you think will happen with all the ships past the relay kaidan and sheps mission could be gathering some of ezo and tech off them for eather the aliance or shep to add to the freelance coffers...

especally since the normandy is the only ship able to get threw the relay.

I don't know if they'd go back through the relay just for salvage.  The impression I get is that there are enough sources of salvage that are considerably less dangerous to access.  Consider that there may be Reapers or god knows what else there even after the destruction of the Collector base, and the debris field itself poses a serious danger, as we see when Shep and company are forced to navigate it.  Without upgraded shields, somebody dies.

If they have people exploring the relay in ME3, I will roll my eyes.

They barely made it through with the best pilot in the galaxy and a state of the art ship with customized everything. If anything, Normandy would have to be sent in there to prepare a path through the rubble.

Then again, they could use the excuse of, "that bomb totally blew a path through it"... but that wouldn't work if you saved the base so

yea but shep has all the upgrads or those that did all the stuff to get them does for 1,  and 2nd the amount of ezo you can get off the ships alone would give a pretty good war fund + the tech and knowledge of other races some may have even come before the prothiens(spelling).

as for the danger of going threw it might take a bit of time but if a safer area can be cleared it might be worth it..

I'd be up for it and I'm sure that it would be worth it, but there's always the issue that it could take too much time before the reapers come back. I guess it depends on what's on that datapad that Shepard is holding at the end of ME2. I hope it's more than just evidence of the reapers and that it's got information... probably does.

Perhaps ME3 will be not just about rallying support vs the reapers but management of resources for the best possible outcome.

the Cerberus coffers would be running pretty low, so I'd guess that they would also be looking at ways to get through the relay & take what info & resources they could, if you went the destroy the base & tell TIM to get stuffed route.

He's got ships ready to go if you saved the base, I believe but not if you destroyed it.

Ah. Okay.

The one I watched was a non-saving one. I guess this proves that he could have given Shepard the upgrades to do stuff as well but chose not to. I really hate TIM...

I didn't mind the planet scanning in ME2, to be honest, but I really hope they give us actual plot-related content to fill up that disk space in ME3.

If that were true then the whole Liara/Feron thing wouldn't have happened, either.  TIM could have just scooped me up before all of the atmosphere vented from my suit and Kaiden and I could have been back together in time for the holidays.  (Hey, I had to get back on-topic somehow.:innocent:)

I'd prefer that as well.

Planet scanning was okay until my small hands started hurting. I had to tape the lt trigger down.  IMO, I think they could have handled the acquiring of resources differently.

What if you had to talk to different npcs on different hub worlds to negotiate contracts? What if you had to do a quest for them? What if each teammate had some kind of connection (you'd think a scientist like Mordin could call in a favor or Tali would be able to negotiate with the quarians etc).
