Well I have been up since 0200 hours this morning (that's 2am) and it is now 2200 hrs (which would be 10pm) so I think I am going to turn in. Back to work tomorrow and no supervisors so I will talk to you then.
Have a Great One Everybody!
Sweet Kaidan (or Ash or whichever) dreams.

Also, *drool* at that previous picture of Kaidan. Looking lovely as always, lieutenant Alenko. I do hope that we get MANY more shirtless moments with Kaidan in ME3. PLEASE Bioware!

I have nothing against Thane, but I'm afraid he is not my idea of perfect partner. I like his phylosophical nature, but his appearance (eyes specifically) really creeps me out. Plus he is in love with his dead wife and always will be and my Shepard don't need an undead rival. :-P

Wow. Awesome picture!
Just stopping by to say hi from a fellow Ashley Williams fan.
Kaidan is the best male LI option and character in ME Universe IMO, so hurray to Commander Alenko!!!

About Thane. I wasn't bothered about his looks that much really, they did give him quite human features. I had more problems with Garrus looks since he looks like a cross-breed between dinosaur and a mantis. The only good thing with Thane is his voice, I love it. His background story with a dead wife, a neglected son and him dying really put me off and effectively made me _not_ want to romance him.
Really, none of the other Li's can measure up to Kaidan

Thane just creeps me out plain & simple, so he's not an option. Plus he's dying and my Shep does not need that sort of distraction and heartbreak with the mission she has ahead of her. (I say this despite the fact that I believe fanservice will mean that a cure is found for him).

I don't mind a bit of drama in a romance, after all it would be boring if everything was smooth sailing, but Thane is just a bit too much for me to consider him. All the drama and then add to it the fact you can't kiss the man without going on an acid trip really is a bit over the top. I mean you would have to find a lot of positive stuff to balance it all and so far I haven't seen anything in the romance vids on Youtube that make me go "oh yeah because of that, it's totally worth it". To each his/her own
Kaidan's romance does have the drama but more tied to the romance. Sure he's been through stuff, but he's dealt with it. The rest of the drama is more about Kaidan and Shepard, their relationship, feelings and morals. It flows so naturally, despite Shep's horrible dialogue options on Horizon.
It's much more about unity, both characters complementing eachother, which is something which, imo, even DA doesn't have. Even though I do wish Kaidan would get the amount of dialogue Alistair had, I'll keep repeating it until it comes true...pfff...
Oh and thanks for the support Yana

i'm afraid i have no motivationals today. i'm suffering from lack of inspirations, so any help would be appreciated.
on the subject of Thane, i was planning to make one of my sheps romance him but i was really put off by the "body being a weapon or tool" thing he has going. I guess it was meant to be philosophical but to me it came out sounding like he wasn't prepared to take responsibility for his actions. In the Mass effect universe. you're surrounded by people who kill, you are a person who kills. How can somone who's known as "the Assasson" claim to be the most innocent?

@Jho - well I reckon its out turn for a bit of fanservice anyway. Everyone else got what they wanted in ME2 so its our turn for ME3.
I agree, though most would argue we got it all in ME1 *shrugs* Just a little while longer and we'll know....little....liiiittttllleee....

We might have got it all in ME1 but that was unintentional on biowares behalf, but we also had to go through the Virmire choiceJhosephine wrote...

Besides which the stupid cameo, and stupid dialogue shep had on Horizon, and Jacob cancelled out anything we got in ME1

Well since the original romances were presented as ongoing throughout the trilogy, I don't see how the creation of new LI's should matter. Kaidan can't help Bioware created new LI's after all. So if new LI's are created in ME3, all previous LI's should get cameos because hey they got a game already?
I do wonder if Bioware will create new romances for ME3....*snickers* not that I want any, but ohhhhh how stressful it must be for their employees

What i would've given for a pargon interrupt in Kaidan's rant on Horison (sigh)
What i would've given to throw Jacob into the line of fire of the mechs when i first met him.

I'm more interested to see how they balance the squad in ME3. I can't believe they will add any more squaddies, but I would like to see the numbergo back to 6 like in ME. sure some people have games where not every one survives but I was one of the people that got everyone out alive. so I'm going to need to lose a hell of a lot of them to make room for Kaidan and possibly Liara I presume to go back to 6.

Everyone wants Shepard, lol! It really grates and ruins immersion that Shepard seems to be the only living creature that creates a a warming of the loins with the entire Normandy crew, she's gonna get a reputation if she isn't careful...............sesheta255 wrote...@Jho - please don't even joke about new LI's in ME3. Surely theres enough now, although the way they're going the Normandy is going to turn into a massive orgy.

Can you imagine what that would be like? It's like being surrounded by a bunch of really lonely, desperate internet guys who you can't be friendly to or they'll think you're interested. Say hello and people will think you love them? No matter what Shepard does, people fall at her feet, even if she's being loyal to Kaidan. She has to watch what she says, watch what she does and even if she needs some support she can't get too friendly or a romance will be initiated. The poor gal, she's living in some MMO I tell ya

On Thane - I thought he was cool, smart and like Lady of the Waters said, had an air of charm about him. I'll admit he is tempting... but my femshep views him as a friend and a person with who she can have interesting and philosophical discussions with.

I wasn't thinking that everyone wants Shepard, I was thinking that they respected her. Especially after the Collectors mission. When she walks through the ship and everyone is looking at her. Like they can't believe they all survived and they wouldn't deny her their assistance in going after the Reapers.
A while back someone had said that Bioware was going to make the ME1 LI actively pursue getting back with Shepard in ME3. I was thinking should she (or he) just take them back or should she (he) be really pissed he/she didn't trust her.
Thoughts?

I would melt, bounce, squee and whatever else comes to mind if Kaidan actively pursues Shepard in ME3. And not in the cheesy way of Jacob coming to her cabin.
Bioware usually leaves you with a choice where romance is concerned, so I'm sure Shepard will have an option to turn Kaidan down. Then again, why go through ME2 staying loyal only to turn Kaidan down in ME3?
Because I don't think he will even give you a choice if you cheated, he simply won't have you in that scenario
