But ofcourse, I should be able to tacklehug him as well...you know, to test his reflexes and general shape.
Darnit, root canal in 30 mins...I don't wanna go...don't wanna..don't wanna.
Need happy thoughts....like Kaidan paragon interrupting Shepard when she questions him when he makes a move, by pinning her against a wall and shutting her up with a kiss. No is not an option

Right, just let your mind wonder and think happy Kaidan thoughts and it will be over before you know it. Good luck Jho, hope it's not too bad.

Voted!
I like the way you think, Jho...
On a (ranting) side note: Just had to watch the SR-1 crash three frickin' times because my ME2 re-install on this machine suffered from the EPIC SAVE/LOAD FAIL. Solved it now, but it was annoying!

One hour closer to the release of ME3 and the return of Kaidan. Just think of it that way!!

It would be nice if Kaidan actually instigated things this time around. I love how we've built the romance up so much with our hopes for ME3 when in reality its going to be a few lines, lol. Oh well I guess we all know where our priorities lay in terms of the Mass Effect universe. As long as Kaidan is a squadmate and they don't reduce the lines or romance between him & Shep to cheese, we get some nekkid smexy time, and we get our happy ending I'll be happy regardless as to what else happens in the game, lol Jeez I don't want much, lmao

I personally liked Thane quite a bit. Charming man, very intelligent. If my current femshep wasn't engaged (so to speak) with Kaidan then I definitely think that Thane would her choice as a lover.
*snip*
Totally agree with you. I had one playthrough without important an ME1 character, to see how they did it.
Anyway, I used my single FemShep to romance Thane and I liked it.
Now, those people saying that they couldn't romance an assassin... I don't know but if I look at the number of people my FemShep killed... I don't think Thane can keep up. And not all of them were complete badass people. Some were there at the wrong time. Also... Garrus, he killed a hell of a lot people during his time as Archangel. A lot of them were Mercs, sure, but not all of them killed innocents or dealed with red sand or what not.
Besides, the last dozen of people he killed - he had a good reason, me thinks.
Also, I thought it interesting how they explained and gave me an insight in the culture or the Drell as well as the connection between Drell and Hanar society.
And then the thing with him loving his dead wife. Imho, you can never completely forget about the past. The past is shaping you, it's changing you depending on your experiences and it will have a certain influence on your future. So, why not leave him with the good memories to his wife? She showed him that there was more to life than just killing - I respect that.
That she has been haunting him, or rather the pile of self-guilt-trip Thane has put on his shoulders for failing his wife - well he's been doing his best to fix that. I think giving him a chance is fair enough.
And then the dying... c'mon... we have Mordin Solus on our side!! Unless you killed him in the Suicide Mission... who else could find a cure of not Mordin.
Yay... this nearly became a book and all that without coffee!!

So, yes, I think Thane was a very well thought out and designed character. My faithful Shep finds conversing with him very soothing. And she rather likes the mind/body dichotomy theory he's got going on, since she's had to do things that she'd rather distance herself from as well.

@Kioux: There was a line, in something or other that I watched once, about why would you want to be with someone who stopped loving his wife just because she died? It was phrased better, obviously, but I liked the idea. Doesn't mean you can't love someone else, but you're not about to abandon your past and the importance of that relationship.

Exactly... oh thanks for keeping me from killing the thread again!
But it's exactly that, no matter how hard you will try, the past will always be a part of you, and this case, his wife will always be present in a way. She also had a great impact on the things Thane does. I think she played a large role in him being capable to open himself up to more than just his job. She made Thane conscious about what he was doing - it is no wonder he keeps her in his heart.
And yes, romancing or not, Thane is a really interesting character. I always lurk around the Life Support and I think the next shore leave will be a very dry planet! Besides... he's not a frog... he's a lizard!!

I actually find Thane fascinating and if I had come to the ME universe in 2 rather than at the beginning I would be romancing him every time BUT Kaiden he is not and that's the bottom lineGolden-Rose wrote...
One person from the books I would like to appear in ME3 - Kahlee Sanders. She seems rather an interesting character and played quite a large role in both ascension and revelation.
On Thane - I thought he was cool, smart and like Lady of the Waters said, had an air of charm about him. I'll admit he is tempting... but my femshep views him as a friend and a person with who she can have interesting and philosophical discussions with.

Everyone wants Shepard, lol! It really grates and ruins immersion that Shepard seems to be the only living creature that creates a a warming of the loins with the entire Normandy crew, she's gonna get a reputation if she isn't careful...............sesheta255 wrote...@Jho - please don't even joke about new LI's in ME3. Surely theres enough now, although the way they're going the Normandy is going to turn into a massive orgy.
I wasn't thinking that everyone wants Shepard, I was thinking that they respected her. Especially after the Collectors mission. When she walks through the ship and everyone is looking at her. Like they can't believe they all survived and they wouldn't deny her their assistance in going after the Reapers.
A while back someone had said that Bioware was going to make the ME1 LI actively pursue getting back with Shepard in ME3. I was thinking should she (or he) just take them back or should she (he) be really pissed he/she didn't trust her.
Thoughts?
I did however mean that anyone who is having remotely romantic thoughts on board the Normandy can't possibly seem to see beyond Shepard (apart from Kelly who wants everyone

I do like getting to know the crew and there stories. It makes the ME universe more like the real world. But you can't get to know people too much if you second words to them are "I want you" when you hardly even know them. Just MHO.

I so agree. There is more to life, even on the Normandy, then having a crush on Shepard. I would love, in ME3, to see Jacob and Miranda get back together. (Even if you romanced one of them! How's that for a new twist, BW? It would be great storytelling to actually have romances you can't win... Miranda goes back to Jacob, Thane dies. If either of them were actually my favorites though, that choice would make me throw the controller at the TV, so I'm sure they won't follow through on that. *sighs*) Really, anything that involves the relationships your squad(s) have developed amongst themselves would be wonderful. Banter, romance, arguments... anything would be great.

Hey, how did your appt go?Nightodie wrote...
@Jeno> I get you now. I don't really talk to Kelly further then to get ship updates and to hear her comments about the crew. I never ask her personal questions since she asked me about catching her if she fell. I keep it professional. I have talked to Thane and Garrus but I can't talk to Jacob much, that sexy voice is just not my Shepard as she is very professional and already attached. No matter how it went on Horizon, I can't see her being unfaithful to Kaidan without talking it out with him first.

I hate having to get past the ''I'm more interested in just................'', BLAAARGH Shut up woman you're showing us up!
It is definitely an integral part of ME to get to know people and it sucks that they just 'shut down', on you if you don't 'want', them <_<
