I've seen people hating Kaidan for the most silly of reasons and I truly hope they don't treat RL people the same because you can basically go on hating pretty much everybody if you judge someone over something so small as not liking his eyebrows, or the way Shepard has to carry him away on Virmire, or the way he looks at you, or the way he rubs the back of his neck or whatever.

It's like the army of people who hated on Miranda pre-release because they thought she was ugly. A lot of that hate washed away the moment she unzipped her suit and showed her bra...but still...wth is wrong with people lol

/end rant :)

Sadly, the way it works is that anything virtual can be hated with passion and nobody has to fear consequences. The people that get off by trolling, flaming and hating... tend to be people who don't really have much joy in real life.
I was able to observe that a bit, while working at the edge of the industry.

And of course, let's not forget the anonymity provided by the internet. 90% of the people trolling and hating would never dare to say the same thing to someone they were facing in person. It's mordnern cowardness and at the same time they feel very... 'manly' if they can bash a virtual male character. Tells ya a bit about personalities, no?

K out...

So true, it's amazing how immature people can act when there aren't any repercussions to their actions.

*bounces around, singing and shakes her booty at the thread* ....what?

All kidding aside, I agree. It's what makes me dislike MMO's nowadays as well that even when minding your own business you can get jumped by random guy nr3238919121 and get flamed for no reason what so ever other than him running by you on his way to where ever.

Yes, they should all act with dignity and maturity like we do, lolPosted Image

Its sad to think that the only way some people can feel good about themselves is by trolling for attention

Haha... good one.
Here, we all found people that think alike (at least to some extent) and  who enjoy the same things.
But there is a difference between acting friendly/foolish/childish/carefree in an enviornment where it is fun and accepted and running into a random thread/topic/post just to go and ****** someone off.

It's a complete alien behavior to me. This is like homophonic man/woman running into a 'gay-bar' to yell at them "I hate you and you are disgusting!" before he/she leaves again. I mean, what's the point? You just don't go to that bar if you have a problem with it.
But here, they don't have to worry about us throwing glasses after them or making them trip and hit the floor. I suppose it's their only way to feel good about themselves.

*Goddess - let it rain common sense and tolerance... * :pinched:

P.S.: *sigh* If I could sell all the typos I make... I'd be rich.

Ask me how lucky I am on Sunday  I've got a wedding and a funeral this week.  Three more weddings and I'd be in a movie.

Wow!  That would be a weird week.  Hope the funeral isn't too hard, and you have fun at the wedding.  And enjoy the time in between!

San Antonio's Riverwalk, here I come!

So... where would your Shep's take Kaidan on vacation?  Meghan, had she stayed with him, would have brought him back to Texas.  Avery was a colonist and can't handle visiting Mindoir, so she'd probably opt for somewhere tropical and beachy.

My Shep would take Kaidan to Hawaii!  Assuming the rising sea levels haven't drowned the islands by 2183.

Actually my Shepard would let Kaidan take her somewhere. Her being a spacer, I think she'll love Kaidan showing her his favourite places and to hand the reigns to another for a while and just be along for the relaxing ride. Though he'll most likely start by taking her to meet the parents :P

On different note, I fired up ME1 and now have Kaidan sitting on my HD tv in the squad window thing. My he looks like he's about to kick some ass....rawr to brooding Kai Kai. Think I'll leave the window open for a bit while I prep dinner :D

The Goddess thing reminded me of something: I wonder whether somebody on the Bioware writing staff is familiar with Wicca. I'll point it out in the form of an imagined conversation between Shepard and Kaidan. To set the scene, Shepard is talking to Kaidan after a conversation with the Council.

Shepard: Goddess, sometimes I just want to hang up on them.
Kaidan: Goddess? Have you been spending too much time with Liara lately?
Shepard: Not the Asari goddess. The Wiccan goddess. It's a relatively obscure religious tradition that started back on Earth in the 20th century. Individual beliefs vary, but most worship both a god and a goddess, who is sometimes represented as passing through the phases of Maiden, Mother, and... okay, that's a scary thought.
Kaidan: What is?
Shepard: The Asari portray their goddess as cycling through the stages of Maiden, Matron, and Matriarch, just as the Asari themselves do. Matron sounds a lot like Mother, and Crone has almost the same implications as Matriarch. Add to that the fact that they just happened to name their goddess Athame...

Jo, I've added you on DA few days ago, waiting for updates now :F

I've said something about a 1k-pages-congrats drawing lately, it's still on the sketchboard (for the 1,5k maybe? XD ), because if  it's about drawing, my comic takes priority now. If I finish, it will look somehow like this (nnnope, no body hair, ladies, it doesn't suit my drawing style), I know it looks like not much work, but believe me, it is much work :(

I can't specify what catched my attention on the latest pages (maybe except the pictures *_* ). As I still support our case, I'm getting burned out on the ME interest, probably untill some major info about ME3, or anything taking up directy on the subject of our beloved biotic (you've probably seen this, but I think Christina is secrelty supporting us :P ).

Maybe the Thane topic, or should I say "why I don't consider Thane as LI for my femShep". I've never speaked my mind about him, probs to that:
In my pov, Thane is a neccesary addition to the game (as an new independent ally), but I didn't find him particulary interesting. I recruit him, talk to him, and he's sitting on the ship untill the last missions so I can do some wrapbombing on husks and Collectors. Sure, I read his stories carefully, but hanar and drell seem to abstract to me.
As an LI, huh... I don't find him attractive in any way. Not my type of personality probably, not to mention the appearance. I don't dig the other species, really (unlike with Garrus. I adore the guy, no matter if he looks like hewn piece of granite, but I respect him to much... I started a new profile just for him as LI, but I couldn't pull it... Profile deleted).

In my femShep's pov, drell are rare sight, and she never meet one before, so she's enjoying her talks with him. She trust in her crew, so there's no exceptions about him. But I don't think he would be her friend in any way. I look at them talking and they seem like comepletely strangers to each other. I guess when it's all over and he make it somehow, she will let him go his way without any regrets.

I am sure they have a certain inspiriation from Wicca and Paganism.
After all, to come up with something completely new, something that has no example in our world or thinking is pretty difficult.
For your previous post: Yes, that's basically where it came form :)
