Yeah, I've been avoiding the survivor poll, but it would be great if the top two were Kaidan and Ashley, together again, keeping Shepard alive. 

And, fanfic update!  (not mine, unfortunately)

Really? What a jerk. I mean, it's cool to have favorites and dislike other characters... but to actually make an effort in hating them and spending time w/ 'anti' threads and groups... that's just silly.

Lego Kaidan made me smile.  

I just read your fic and really enjoyed it.  Your author note said it was inspired by something in a Patricia Wrede book.  Have you read others?  The Enchanted Forest Chronicles are favourites of mine, have been for ages.

Oh, I re-read The Enchanted Forest Chronicles on a semi-regular basis, as well as the two Mairelon/Kim books.  I'd do the same with her older Lyra books, but they're mostly out of print and I have failed to track down any copies of my own, so I only read them when I can steal them from my mother.  (Snow White and Rose Red is also lovely, to do a complete accounting.)  I think I've read her entire backlist, tbh.  Haven't read her latest yet, though.

And I'm glad you liked my email story.  I think it's my favorite thing I've ever written.  I'm debating writing an Ashley version, but I'm not sure Joker's half would be different enough to be worth it.  I'll just have to wait and see if something clever bubbles up out of the depths of the brain, or something like that.

Though it may sound odd but I am against the burning.
The intimacy of urging your hand under the shirt/towel/blanket/bedsheet to just slowly push it further... the intensity of discovering the beautiful skin under the fabrics, discovering small scars... the change of feel between silken bedsheets and smooth skin...

I've only read the Lyra books once; a friend of mine has them and let me borrow them, but like you, I haven't been able to find copies for myself.  I keep looking, though!  The Mairelon books are good as well, but I think my favourites will always be the Enchanted Forest Chronicles (maybe because I read them first?).  Another friend of mine read and enjoyed Thirteenth Child, but I just haven't had the time for it.  It's on my to-read list, though.

An Ashley version of the letter story would be interesting!  I tend to think that Joker's friendship with Ash is very different from that with Kaidan, I just wouldn't know how it would play out because we don't get much Ash/Joker interaction to base it on.  Still, I'd be very interested to see what you come up with!
