I just put the first chapter of my fic new fic up on FF.net after getting lots and lots of feedback from my betas Jo and Sia.

Just Because Horizon Was That Bloody Awful

It’s an A/U piece told from Kaidan’s PoV with the change being that Kaidan was taken by the Collectors on Horizon and that abomination of scene between the two of them never happened.   The story itself is cheesy in parts I readily admit it, it starts out pretty dark but ends up on the goofy side with a happy ending.

If the feedback is positive to the story I'll write a companion piece  from Shepard's PoV.

I will read your fic when I get them out of my hair. I have to catch up on all the fics over the last few days. I tend not to read other fics while I'm trying to write them, it throws my thought process which is shaky enough at the best of times, lol

It's really bad that poor Kaidan getting podded for a month, listening to the smoothie machines, is a better fate than that Horizon non-coversation we got.  I mean, torture > fight is not a normal priority decision...

And yet, loved Shenzi's Kaidan POV much better!  Muchly!   I love this thread, surrounded by crazy creative people.  It's wonderful. <3

That quote was the starting point for the fic. 

I actually have the whole thing written but the rest of the chapters need some serious editing still.  I didn't write it in order, I just wrote pieces as I figured stuff out so I had to finish it before I knew what the whole thing looked like.

Unfortunately my muse wrote about a page for the Booty sequel then decided to go onto the 3rd & final part of my reunion fic. Although now I'm feeling the urge to rewrite all 3 parts cause I don't like them. Hopefully I will get in a silly enough mood to get on to random stupidity because I have 3 in progress at the moment, lol

My sister thought I'd gone crazy (well crazier anyway) the other day.  She said to me "I've got a recipe for giant pods" and I immediately fell about laughing.

So since we know that the Horizon colonists were still alive when Shepard's team went to the Collector's base in the actual game then pods keep can keep something alive for a long period of time, do you guys think it's some sort of suspended animation that is interrupted by outside stimuli like when Shepard pressed against Lilith’s pod and she responded? 

I'm trying to decide how scruffy Kaidan would be after being in the pod for a month.

A thought came to me while I was writing.

Kaidan has very expressive eyebrows. Like, very expressive. Those eyebrow quirks after Eden Prime are adorable XD

Edit: I love how there's random code hanging out in my sig. I can't get rid of it either. Ninja code...

So, let's say I pretty much finished my Interlude section and wanted to post the whole thing somewhere in one piece so that people who liked the stories on fanfiction.net could find it. How would I go about that? Can I link it from my profile there (assuming I can find a place to get it out there) or do they frown on that?

And, yes, Kaidan does have very expressive eyebrows.  It's a big factor in some of the "hubba hubba" pictures, like your avatar.

Very much enjoyed this!  The title makes me giggle.
